Alleged Tredyffrin car thefts foiled

Stepped-up patrols from a spate of burglaries led to the apprehension of four alleged thieves, Tredyffin Township police said.

Stepped-up patrols from a spate of burglaries in the area of Glenn Circle and Walker, Worthington, and West Valley Roads led to the apprehension of four alleged thieves, Tredyffin Township police said this morning.

During the early morning hours of Sept. 1, police said officers observed a couple of suspicious vehicles in the 400 block of Walker Road. One of the vehicles was stopped for motor-vehicle violations when officers noticed cash and items that were later confirmed as stolen, police said.

Four individuals were charged with burglary, theft from vehicles, receiving stolen property and related offenses: Tabrina Lenning, 26, Austin Gross, 18, and Courtney Appleton, 20, all of Norristown; and Daniel Brady, 19, of Phoenixville. Police said the investigation is continuing and more suspects have been identified.
