Car thefts plague East Goshen

A spate of car thefts has prompted police to warn residents in East Goshen Township.

A spate of car thefts has prompted the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department to issue a warning to residents: Secure your valuables.

Early this morning, four thefts were reported in East Goshen Township. Three of the victims enabled the thieves by leaving electronics, financial documents and personal property in their unlocked vehicles; a fourth victim locked the car only to have a window smashed.

The areas targeted included Monte Vista Drive, Highland Avenue, and Taylor Avenue, all located near East Goshen Park on Paoli Pike. Police, who have stepped up patrols in the area, are urging residents to remove valuables from vehicles, lock doors, activate alarms, and call 911 whenever a suspicious condition occurs.
