Peyton Manning to speak at GOP retreat in Philly, report says

WASHINGTON — Add another big name to the list of speakers coming to Philadelphia this week for the Republican Congressional retreat: Peyton Manning.

The former quarterback is among the guests who will address the Republican members of the House and Senate when they gather at the Loews hotel, per a Politico report Tuesday morning.

Other speakers expected at the event include President Trump, Vice President Pence and British Prime Minister Theresa May. Trump is due to speak Thursday. The event runs Wednesday through Thursday.

Protesters are also planning to make their voices heard with rallies around the gathering.

The retreat is aimed at bringing together Republicans on both sides of the Capitol as they map their agenda for the year and try to hash out the details of plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act and overhaul the tax code, among other priorities.
