[UPDATE] Perkasie Police search for missing woman

UPDATE 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29 - Perkasie Police reported Wendy Packard had been located safe in Hampton Bays, N.Y., at around 1 a.m. As of Wednesday morning, her family was en route to pick her up. police said.

Perkasie Borough Police are asking for public help in searching for a 62-year old woman who was reported missing by her family late Monday night.

Wendy Packard was wearing a black cloth overcoat, according to a police announcement, and may be driving a silver 2007 Hyundai Sonata with Pennsylvania license plate GRJ-3375. She had lived in Perkasie for at least eight years, according to Det. Sgt. Russ Closs, Jr., and was last seen at a doctor's office in Newtown around 2:30 p.m.

Police said that Packard's family reported she sometimes suffers from cognition issues.
