Former school custodian charged with lewd act at movie theater

A former custodian at Langhorne's Maple Point Middle School was arrested Wednesday for allegedly showing pictures of male genitalia to three teenagers at a screening of the movie Thor 2 in Middletown, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

A former custodian at Langhorne's Maple Point Middle School was arrested Wednesday for allegedly showing pictures of male genitalia to three teenagers at a screening of the movie Thor 2 in Middletown, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Robert Gimello, 25, was charged with unlawful contact with minors and harassment for the alleged incident, which authorities say happened at the United Artists Movie Theater in November.

According to a criminal complaint, Gimello sat in front of thee teenagers, aged 13 and 14, and repeatedly angled his phone so that they could see the lewd pictures on its screen. Gimello would also look back and make eye contact, the complaint says. 

He was set to be arragined Wednesday morning, according to the District Attorney's Office. His attorney could not be reached for comment.

Gimello was separately charged with indecent exposure in December for allegedly showing his genitals to women at Bucks County Community College on two occasions, in October and November, the District Attorney's Office said. A trial on those charges is scheduled for later this month.

Gimello had been working as a custodian at the Neshaminy School District middle school for about four years, according to the District Attorney's Office. He was an employee during the alleged incidents last year, but has since been fired, the office said.

Police are asking any other victims who may have been harassed by Gimello to contact Sergeant Matthew Krois, of the Middletown Township Police Department, at 215-750-3870.
