What Kind of American is Zach Parise?
We look at where Zach Parise's NHL stats rank among American-born players.
Cherry Hill's Greg Frank — a loyal reader and a regular contributor — is getting a little impatient with the Flyers' pursuit of free agents, and wanted to know where Zack Parise ranks among active American-born players.
Turns out, among those active United States-born players with 100 or more career games played, the Minneapolis, Minn. native is second in goals-per-game and second in points-per-game, although trailing a different U.S. player — Bobby Ryan and Patrick Kane, respectively — in each category.
