The First of Halladay, Part 1
A look at Roy Halladay's Opening Day Starts.
Thursday afternoon, Roy Halladay will make his 10th consecutive opening day start, his third with the Phillies after seven with the Blue Jays.
After getting roughed around in his first two openers, he has settled down and is 4-1, 3.02 over his last eight games that have kicked off the season.
Perhaps more importantly, his teams get the offense out of storage early for him in those games. They have scored 50 runs in his nine openers, 28 runs over his last three openers.
