For whatever reasons, Doug Collins’ teams tradionally play better in his second year on the bench, than they do in his first. But that trend reverses in Year 3:

His clubs are exactly .500 in his first season, 40 games over in his sophomore season and under the break-even point in his third.

In fact, the Sixers have already lost more games this season than they did in the shortened campaign of 2011-12.
