The Detroit Pistons come into the Wells Fargo Center Wednesday with the worst start (0-8) in their history. (They had started out 0-7 twice before this season: 1962-63 and 1980-81).
They are the 26th NBA team to start a season 0-8 (the 0-6 Wizards are working their way to being the 27th). Twenty of the previous 25 teams fell to 0-9, the most recent being the 2009-10 Nets, who dropped their first 18 games.
