Phillies' Pence is Hunting Lefties

Hunter Pence has owned lefties since coming to Philly.

When the righthanded Hunter Pence was traded from the Astros to the Phillies on July 29, he was hitting better against righthanded pitchers (.318) than he was against lefthanded pitchers (.278). Once in South Philly, he has simply owned southpaws.

As a Phil, Pence hit .405 with a .528 on-base percentage and an unreal .929 slugging percentage against southpaws. He has three career hits against Jaime Garcia, the lefty the Cardinals will send to the mound tonight, all for extra bases.
