Injuries were no fun, and injuries to Allen, Graham, Bradley, and Jackson could impact 2011, but otherwise it was a big success. Went 10-6 while playing lots of 22 and 23 year-olds. The gameplans weren't always that great, but the coaches did a great job of teaching. armchairGM- Thank God you're only an armchair GM.
Kolitz - Roseman and company would second that response.
armchairGM - I agree with Bob it will only be a success if Vick can play at this level for another 2-3 years minimum and the team gets to a superbowl. Otherwise it only delays a complete gutting and reorganization of the team, which would have happened if Kolb turned out to be a failure after two complete seasons. The same holes at the end of this season are the same at the end of last season. The only silver lining is that they were competitive in the playoff game this year and the Cowboys turned out to be frauds after one playoff win and will not be dominating the division for the next 3 years.
- Competitive? What game were you watching? They were out classed and out played.
Kolitz - oh so sorry, i did not realize (losing by 5 points)+(missing two field goals)+(driving within 27 yards of winning score) = (being blown out).
As long as FAT BOY is the coach, there will be a SB. Therefore, there will never be any successful seasons for the EAGlES until FAT BOY is run out of town. I hope it's soon. oneway
After three consecutive playoff losses, Reid must go.

With the injuries and all the "experts" giving the SB trophy to Dallas (vs San Diego), giving the Giants second, then the Redskins third in our division. I would have to say yes. They were correct on one thing......the Giants did take second in the division, behind US!!!!!! NC Eagle Fan- This was supposed to be a rebuilding year but they still need serious help in evaluating talent and draft picks as well as free agents - not that impressed
They got bumped out...AGAIN...in the playoffs. Yeah, that's a real success alright. Just like the Patriots 16-0 season was a success when they lost the SB to the Giants...not. That 16-0 means BUPKIS without that ring. Kolitz
Did I have fun following the season...yes (was standing right up close to the TV screen up thru the last play against GB)
Was the action exciting....yes, oh yes
Did we get to watch meaningful January football.
Will I still root next year despite Andy's befuddling offensive scheme?...yes
Success... but I'm easy. I don't feel entitled to a Super Bowl win. I don't base success on just that. End results can never take away moments during the season. I watch because I love pro football, am a die hard Eagle fan since 1953. For three hours I'm not thinking about
terror, murder, trickle down economics, and any vagaries of the current political scene. It's just the game for those precious three hours. A Super Bowl would be the cherry on top of this sundae. retzlaff- I agree with this post. As long as we can be competitive, having a good chance to win every game, how can we not be pleased. Like retzlaff, having been a long time fan, it is great not to be in NFL purgatory like the Eagles were for a number of years. When we are competitive we are in the mix for a shot at the title. Many games are decided by three or fewer plays that could have been different. Without a few injuries and let's say MV threw that last pass a little farther and a little deeper, who knows? That's why they play the games and we are in each of them until we are eliminated.

Success can only be measured in Super Bowl Victories....and once again for the 12th year Andy, Joe and Jeffery have failed.....The surprise emergence of Micahel Vick made it exciting, but as usual the players the coach selected are just not good enough and his schemes and coaching failed agian.........since the only reason you play a game is to win.....then there is No other grade but an F for another year of finishing back in the pack.... nuggett
retzlaff.....you are easy and also one who is willing "to settle" Don't you ever want to be a success......Don't you dothe best job at work so you can get promotions or raises or more sales....or are you jsut willing to settle for anything.....The game is played to win...and if you don't win....you lose......so if the season does not end in a Super Bowl Victory then it is not a successful season.....sad to think you like many others are willing to settle..... nuggett
