Manning would bring a bit of class and dignity to this organization but we can't have that now can we...

@ppizza,stop playing the racecard, you CHarmaine etc etc care more about the race then the chase to a win SB,,football is about winning and losing,,Manning gives the Birds the best chance of winning a SB,,Manning and Hines Ward pickup would make this team favorites to win a SB,,but some fans want mcconVick we all know he can't play a full season(since 2005),he's not smart enough to avoid a hit,the Birds will never win a SB with MV..BOOK IT....wolf.

@tpizza What is obvious as black and white is Lurie and Reid's QB choices over the past 20 years. It surly does not look like coincidence or the best player selection to many of us. Guess who the only player at the combine warranted Reid's extreme praise. Make no mistake there is racism over at Nova Care.

i agree 100% with 4in5,,,Big Red and Lurie are too insecure to have a high level QB like Manning on the team, they'll never win a SB with the way they choose franchise QBs....wolf.

The main question is how much should a team pay for an old guy with a bad neck? I figure he'll play two games. And what is the cost in disruption from the team's previous plan? To sign him, you have to think he's going to play 19 games and help win the Super Bowl.

This an article that shouldn't have been written, just like all of the garbage about trading up for RG3. I know you have to write articles to do your job, but really, write an article about the possibility of getting a MLB through free agency (the guy from Atlanta?) or if they can address it through the draft. Maybe about the scouting department of the Eagles and any new blood coming in there that can possibly assess defensive talent. Stop coasting Bob.

Sounds like Peyton wants to stay in the AFC, so, we are stuck with Vick. If Vick could learn to stay put in the pocket and dump off versus running and getting hurt AGAIN, we wouldn't be having this conversation about Manning.

If you really think Andy Reid is smart enough to get Payton Manning and win at least two superbowls, you have not been paying attention the last 13 years. Reid would rather go down in flames and stick to the awful decisions he has made in his 13 years in Philly. The north philly fans would also rather be 2-14 with Vick, than win a superbowl with Payton. One good thing will happen. Reid will be fired.

No...will you morons stop banging the drum and speculating just because it takes up column inches and air time? You're just encouraging all the Howie Roseman wannabes to demand all kinds of ridiculous scenarios which will leave this team in the ditch for the forseeable future. Manning is not fully healed; he will not play opening day for anyone; he's going to want money that Banner will not pay out; he will want well-earned autonomy when it comes to calling plays (something Andy and Marty will never permit); and Vick is going to raise such a stink (as will Charmaine and his friends here) that a deal will have to be made to get rid of him. Think about the draft folks, and getting key players, not some pie in the sky idea that Manning is going to save the day. I'm sick of hearing about RG3 too...he is not gonna be there, and the Eagles should not trade up to get him...Vick will scream to high heaven if a younger version of him is drafted, believe you me. No wonder the Eagles are the laughing stock of the NFL.

The last time the Eagles won a Championship, they went out and signed a QB with just a few more good years left. And Norm Van Brocklin delivered a championship.

Reid hasn't been here 20 years, though it may seem like it.

Guess that's why they drafted Kolb?

Marcus Hayes... you are a Mo-Ron!! Do you really think Manning & Vick could be on the same team? Seriously? What the heck would Manning want to come here as an insurance policy for Vick? I would cut Vick if it meant having 50% of a Peyton Manning. News flash... Vick Stinks!! 3 Outstanding games a season do not make up for the other games that he gives away with carelessness.
