agreed robynk. but you know how sports media works these days. anything for a "story" or attention-grabbing headline.
next up: "should eagles trade vick?". just make up anything you want and see how it sounds. peyton will go to 1 team and 1 team only..... the one he chooses to.

Well of course they would trade Vick if they acquire Manning. Vick has a lot of trade value. They would be slightly increasing the money they are currently spending on the quarterback position while receiving a very nice package of picks and/or players for Vick.

Hey, I like Vick, but Manning + Vick trade booty > Vick

"Bob Ford has been writing about Philadelphia sports since 1981, and is still trying to figure it all out". Kinda says it all about one of the laziest columnists on the Inqy staff. He certainly followed in Lyons footsteps, except Lyons could actually write an article that made you think he actually attended the event.

How about this one - should the Eagles trade for/sign Brian Urlacher? That's always good for a slow news day...

While this is definitely a ridiculous idea as AR would never cede the offensive authority that Peyton would want; I did hear today that Peyton to Washington is not ridiculous and that Peyton would be open to playing in the NFC East after all.

BUt don't twist that, Peyton in Philly would never happen, even if they hadn't committed to Vick for 2012.

How about "should the Eagles sign Burress?"

I'd take Archie Manning if it meant getting rid of Vick.

This is the way it is going to fall out. Eagles sign Manning, they trade Vick for picks and then they move up in the draft for Manning to groom RGIII!

Look, the Birds are locked in at QB for next year, BUT next year only. Save this story for another QB next year. Next question, please.
