"You don't have to call me darling, darling. You never even called me by my name."

-- Steve Goodman

Nothing like a good, old country song to put that lingering divorce spat between the Dallas Cowboys and our good buddy Terrell Owens into perspective.

Tony Romo had nothing but kind words for his departed receiver, except that he, in the words of another quarterback, "kept his name out of his mouth" when asked about Owens during the Cowboys' mini-camp rituals.

Owens laughed it off and reminded people that Bill Parcells never referred to him as anything other than "the player." Yeah, it's all funny now.

Maybe Romo was showing some support for offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who Owens allegedly speared in a Twitter post recently. The text of which was: "blame the OC & Romo!! but i'm happy 2 b where i am but i miss the other guys tht were & r true teammates."

Now, we say "allegedly," of course, because reputable news organizations such as Post Patterns are aware that anyone with a computer can create a Twitter account that looks as if it is operated by Terrell Owens, but one must check these things out before presenting them as fact.

Does the post sound like Owens? Sure. Are we convinced it was Owens? Not entirely, although "happy 2 b where i am" is strong circumstantial evidence.

Heading off to the OTA. More later and make sure you check out "You Talkin' To Me?" in Friday's Inquirer. It returns after a week-long suspension with a new lineup. Ringo's kid is playing drums now.

Huh? McNabb has had success in the playoffs, Romo had no success. The Eagles, led by McNabb, will win the Super Bowl this season, thus guaranteeing McNabb's inclusion to the Hall of Fame. Then pretend Eagles fans like lonewolf will pout and spew new-fangled nastiness throughout the net.

TO... the hapless victim yet again. My heart bleeds for the guy. It's a lot more fun when TO's ripping up Dallas, isn't it?

I seem to remember Dallas fans blaming the Eagles for the blow up between the team and Owens and how much better he would be when he got to Dallas. Now, all you read about in Dallas fan's posts are how happy they are that he's gone and how sorry they feel for Edwards and Buffalo. I love it when Dallas fans have to eat crow, and they're sucking on one huge crow right now.

lonewolf- the phrase "donovan does pretty good in the playoffs" refers to winning in the playoffs which he has been successful at, rather than last minute drives and how many superbowl rings...

Correct me if I'm wrong but T.O. helped win ONE playoff game 49ers vs Packers and he's been on how many more playoff teams and won ZERO since and he is a Hall Of Famer? You need to check the ststs of a True Hall Of Fame WR Jerry Rice who T.O. is trying to live up to and from the looks of things can't hold Jerry shoes. With the way T.O. is going "HE" will never see play in another Superbowl. The best shot he had was here in Philly. Now McNabb on the other hand with this team has a way better shot at the Superbowl, They win and it won't be the Superbowl that makes him a Hall OF Fame QB it's all that McNabb's done since he" been here, check your stats. By the way if you watch past the first round, McNabb and Eagles have gone past the first many times something T.O. has never done, except when he was on the Eagles and he didn't play the first 2 playoff games, so who get's shakey?

lone - ok we get it, you hate don could you now PLEASE MOVE ON your posts are getting as hard to read as the actual articles - really dude get a puppy or something your just a bit too angry. Your point about Steve Young handeling TO is complete junk as he was a rookie and Don does at least have a winning record in the playoffs , granted we ALL would like a super bowl but try to keep things in perspective

There's no point in arguing with lonewolf....he's just a broken record who went from having a mancrush on McNabb to becoming some sort of John Hinkley-type obsessed stalker because McNabb wouldn't sign an autograph for him or something. The guy literally spends all day trolling these boards for the newly posted article so he can rush and be the first person to post and so he can post some sort of nonsense about McNabb whether the article has anything to do with McNabb or even football. This whole Romo-TO nonsense is a perfect example of what sports reporting has deteriorated to nowadays. Reporters running back and forth between players and coaches saying "did you hear what so-and-so said about you? what's your response?" It's pathetic. Sports reporters have become the equivalent of 13 year old girls running back and forth between lockers in junior high spreading gossip.
