Our buddy Matt Mosley over at ESPN.com ranks the five best off-season moves made by teams in the NFC East and thinks the Eagles made more than the other guys.

Here's his take on the brightest moves so far.

Now, all of us would have our own lists and we can quibble with someone else's, but there's no disputing that the addition of Jason Peters at left tackle and the combined drafting of offensive threats Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy make the Eagles a much more dangerous and effective offensive team heading into the 2009 schedule.

Mosley thinks the Redskins' signing of Albert Haynesworth is the best move in the division this off-season. Yes, the 'Skins needed big help on defense, but the size of the contract handed out by Daniel Snyder makes this a questionable move to me. There's no way Haynesworth can live up to it, and no way a team with as many holes to fill as Washington can conscience tying up that much money in just one guy.

Whatever, you have to like any list that properly classifies releasing Terrell Owens as a brilliant move.

Andrews was switched to RT several weeks ago during the first mini-camp. That's old news.

This Bob Ford is a terrible writer. When someone releases such bleak columns, he should look over his shoulder because he surely soon to be fired

The signing of Albert Haynesworth is a great short-term move for the Skins. You figure he will give Washington at least 3 very good seasons, which would cover more or less the guaranteed money. After that, they can release him if he starts to decline. The Eagles countered by getting a very good young tackle in Peters and three young offensive threats in the draft. I like the Eagles moves better.

Bob, you truly are gifted. Maybe next time you can show the rest of us how to cut and paste links from other outlets to use in your column. Last week it was SI.com. Today ESPN. Can’t wait to see what you plan to steal for next weeks column.

It's funny that idiots posting comments to a website don't understand the difference between an article and a blog

The issue might be, will AR give the rooks many chances, like DeJean, to help this aging team out with more speed, resolve and energy?

Give Bob Ford another 30 days and he'll re-hash this thing again. If he's still employed.

The link is to another blog. That blog of Matt Mosley and has about 1000% of the content of Bob's blog. You can have a blog and still actually provide meaningful content. I think philly.com is looking for a post every day. Tough to provide loads of content every 24 hrs.

Bob - while I clearly don't agree with your interpretations on certain news items, I do really appreciate you taking the time to dig through the internet looking for items of interest for the die-hard Eagles fans. Many of us come here first for our Eagles news and opinions and we don't always have time to search through the many sports sites looking for articles or blogs that will interest us. Thanks for your Blogs (and your articles, too).
