The reason you think Reid has been lying more now than he used to, is because the organization is going through a lot of changes. McNabb was the QB, JJ was the DC. The organization was much more stable in the past.

It must be a slow sports news week... the 'Has Andy Reid lost his power' stories are back! Like a 'broken clock', the Philly sports writers will be right at some point... just like the 'scientist' who tell you if you eat something, you'll eventually die... duh!

Andy Reid didn't lose his "power". he lost his excuse...McNabb. For ten years he always had an excuse why they came up short. Now its on him. He had a Super Bowl team with T.O. and McNabb and HE couldn't handle T.O. That is the coaches job, and while TO is a handful, other coaches did their jobs. Reid let the Super Bowl walk away because he is fat and lazy and wants to be comfortable.

Larry, what other coaches were able to do their job by handling TO?

You want proof that Andy lost some power, name another Head Coach with 11 years at the helm, that would allow an Accountant to be placed in the GM position? An Accountant that had zero football experience and is a Joe Banner cheapskate wannabe is now running the show. Other duties for this Numbers Cruncher is to evaluate everyone on the team, including coaches. Imagine a veteran coach like Mudd being evaluated by a bean counter that knows nothing about coaching football. That's hilarious and at the same time very sad. Yea, given the GM selection, I'd say Andy has lost some power!

He will lose his power when he will lose his job. He needs to lose his job real fast.

Reid needs to lose his job not power. How many years do you give a guy to win it all? I think 12 years in more than a fair chance. As long as he is the Eagles coach, they will never win a Super Bowl.

As Gargano has said, I suffer from "Eagles Fatigue" and I want Reid gone really really bad, one problem though, Who picks the next coach? Do we really trust Howie and Joey to pick the best possible candidate or will they choose a puppets. My money is on a puppet so Banner continues to show everyone he is the smartest man in the world. What is happening to the NFL, with clowns like Banner and Roseman running franchises, no wonder there is going to be a lockout.

After 12 years of not winning the championship, he should lose his power and his job. He makes wrong decisions on and off the field. It took Washington's Shannahan only 8-9 games to figure out that McNabb really can't play. And yes, Reid has told so many lies, nothing he says is now believable. When will the owner come under pressure for his backing of Reid? When that happens Reid will be gone in a flash.

As Gargano has said numerous times, I suffer from "Eagles Fatigue" and I want Reid gone really really bad, but who picks his replacement? Howie and Joey? Really, will they pick the best candidate(will they even know who the best candidate is?) or will they just pick a puppet for Banner. My money is on a puppet. What a sad state of affairs that clowns like Banner & Roseman are running NFL Franchises, is it any wonder that there will be a lockout?

I think high risk coaching moves are signs of a loss of control, of someone making a last ditch effort, rather than the opposite of last ditch as Bob Ford claims. The brass wanted Castillo off the OL and found they could get Mudd. I think Andy probably struck a deal and said if you make me get rid of McDermott and Castillo let me keep Castillo and make him DC. I think this is a sign that the Eagles FO wants him to bring home a super bowl this year or next. Of course this interpretation will also depend on moves made for free agents. I think the Eagles draft for RG and RT but go to free agency for RCB, DT and WILL, and go high, if the FO is sincere in its desires for a superbowl and in earnest in putting pressure on Andy.
