Palin Goes Pfft: Losing to Charlie Sheen

Sarah Palin would lose to Charlie Sheen among independents in a new poll, an odd indicator of her electability problem.

Palin Goes Pfft: Losing to Charlie Sheen

This is how far Sarah Palin has fallen: She trails actor Charlie Sheen, armed with "tiger blood," among independent voters in a hypothetical presidential matchup, according to a new Public Policy Polling survey released Thursday.

Swing voters would prefer Sheen to Palin, 41 percent to 36 percent, the poll found.

PPP, a Democratic leaning firm from Raleigh, N.C., interviewed 624 registered voters from March 10 through March 13. Results are subject to a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.9 percentage points.

Sheen is hugely unpopular, rated favorably by 10 percent of voters and unfavorably by 67 percent. Winning!

"Sheen's not going to run for the White House but the Palin numbers are one of the more interesting benchmarks yet pointing to just how minuscule her chance at the Presidency would be even if she did decide to get into the race," pollster Tom Jensen says.
