New Obama ad touts jobs improvement

POSTED: Monday, October 15, 2012, 9:10 AM

The Obama campaign relased a new television ad, "Main Street," Monday that features a series of regular working people who testify the economy is improving, to the tune of 5.2 million newly created private sector jobs over the past 30 months, and the lowest national unemployment rate since 2009.

"Stick with this guy," a man says at the end of the spot. "He will move us forward."

The ad is scheduled to air in Colorado, Nevada and Virginia, campaign officials said.

Paul Ryan supported Bush policies that led to depression for eight years.

Romney supported to deepen Bush depression by destroying GM and Detroit.

Romney still support wall street deregulation that led to Bush depression.

Romney and Ryan helped Bush to bring on the depression.

I love how you say we were in a "depression". Stop being so dramatic.

The $2 trillion in private money, sitting currently in money market funds, will stay there or go overseas, if Obama-Biden and a Democrat US Senate is elected in November.
No further jobs can be created without that $2 trillion.
These people and companies won't invest in a Democrat US in 2012 and beyond because they know a Democrat government will confiscate the money and feed it to left-wing causes who will just evaporate once the money is spent. They fear there will be nothing to show for it.
Parking the money or sending it overseas preserves the money until this Democrat psychosis runs its' course.
It is exactly similar to what happened to European money until the French Reign of Terror and Napoleon were over.
If we get Romney-Ryan and a Republican Senate, 12 million new jobs are created with at least $1.5 trillion coming off the sidelines.
This Democrat story above is all about the stimulus money borrowed from the Chinese.Democrats have shot their economic wad, their last shot.Nobody with money will trust Democrats for the foreseeable future.
Think it over and you will see the $2 trillion on the sidelines is right.

Clinton created 24,000,000 jobs without help from businesses ????

All innovative job creator support current policy. Only wall street and MBA CEO's support trickle down economy to get cheaper labor in depressed economy.

"Bush depression was result of deregulation, millionaire tax break, and fraudulent war." --- Revisionist history I suppose. You forgot the mess that the Democrats created once they took control of Congress.

Psy: please detail the measures the democrats passed and Bush signed that lead to Bush depression.

Get a grip of reality. GOP policies implemented in our southern states have brought poverty and misery to those people. Trickle down economy does not work.

Romney will bring in 3rd depression after Hoover and Bush. Big Bird and all middle class will be impacted by Romney depression.

Everyone needs their voice to be heard against Romney depression.

This averages out to approximately 175,000 jobs per month, which is a disgrace coming off of a recession. This job "growth" is not sufficient to keep place with population growth. Unemployment still hovers near 8% despite the fact that many who have given up looking for a job or accepted a lower paying job are not included in this figure.

By any statistical measure, this recovery is the worst in the post WWII era.

Deeper recessions typically have faster recoveries. Carter left Reagan with an unbelievable mess - interest rates were spiraling out of control and the country was in dire straights. Reagan, by every measure, overcame the Carter recession far more quickly.

Obama's policies have been an unmitigated disaster. He promised an unemployment rate at 5.6% by now if we passed his stimulus. Well, the stimulus was passed, and we still have unemployment near 8%.

    Jan 1981- 95,000 jobs CREATED

    Jan 2009- 800,000 jobs LOST

i don't think Bush depression can be compared to Carter recession.

Hoover depression is only event worse than Bush depression.

reagan had far more cooperative legislators. as you well know, it does make a difference. reagan raised taxes and had several stimulus packages.

your lies will result in elimination of medicare and social security if romney gets elected. keep lying(or rather, not telling the whole truth)

High Water, Obama and the dems had control of the House and Senate for 2 years. He passed a "stimulus" that he promised would bring the unemployment rate to 5.6% by the summer of 2012.

His "stimulus" was a failure on two levels. First, it failed to deliver the jobs that were promised. Second, we have nothing to show for it. No new highways, no new infrastructure, nothing. In Philadelphia, stimulus money was spent to install curb cuts on sidewalks that are not used by pedestrians.

You may disagree with me, but I challenge you to identify a single "lie" that I've told in this discussion - you'll find none.

Jfar88: you lied about democratic control of 24 months, it was only 6 months. Six month of policy making was not enough to repair 8 years of damage by bush.

Senator Franken was tied up in court and Kenney died within 6 months of Franken's tenure.

Actually, Seed, the Dems had a majority in the Senate despite Franken being tied up in Court and despite the death of Kennedy.

    Nice try though.

Bush depression is worst since great depression before WWII.

Bush depression was result of deregulation, millionaire tax break, and fraudulent war.

We can't go back to the 3rd Harvard MBA Romney. Hoover and Bush were the other Harvard MBA president.

    Jan 2012- 225,000 jobs created

Yes, jobs are coming back as we recover from Bush depression

Hoover depression took 12 years to recover from

Seed, look at the employment to population ratio. It has remained mired around 58% for a few years. The jobs "created" are just those that you would naturally see as a result of population growth. Obama had two years with control of both the House and Senate, and we've seen the result. The job market is stagnant, at best.

Bush depression lost 9,000,000 jobs. You can't recover from a depression in just 4 years and catch up with normal job participation rate.

Hoover depression took close to 16 years to get back to normal job participation rate.

Trickle down economy does not work. Middle class out economy works. All innovative job creators support middle class out economy. Only wall street and MBA CEO's like trikle down as it offers them cheap labor in depressed job market.
