Republicans say something good about Obamacare
The U.S. House campaign arm of the Republican Party says on a website that President Obama and the Obamacare law are relatively popular in the Bucks County-based 8th Congressional District.
Republicans say something good about Obamacare
Thomas Fitzgerald, Inquirer Politics Writer
Normally, the various arms of the Repulbican Party are coordinated in calling President Obama's health care overhaul an extreme socialist freedom-stomping expansion of government.
So it was interesting to see this contrary statement, about the 8th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, on a website run by the National Republican Congressional Committee, the party's U.S. House campaign arm: "This is an independent, pragmatic district. Sincere testimonials work well when delivering attacks. Obama and Obamacare are viewed favorably here." (Emphasis added)
The reference is on "Democrat Facts: The Truth about congressional Democrats," a site NRCC uses to disseminate opposition research and other information about opponents.
It may well be that the party's internal polls find Obama and Obamacare relatively popular in the 8th, centered in the mostly affluent suburban Philadelphia county of Bucks.
If that is the case, though, why did the NRCC say the opposite in a Politics PA story about the launch of a tumblr attacking Kathy Boockvar, the Democratic nominee challenging U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R.,Pa.) in the district?
“Boockvar’s troubling past makes her unfit to represent the people of Bucks County,” NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay was quoted saying.
“With Washington Democrats’ big-government takeover of health care and reckless spending sprees that hamper economic recovery, Pennsylvania families don’t want a radical activist with a partisan agenda representing them in Congress.”
If Republicans are saying something nice about Obamacare that's because:
Romney's downward spiraling numbers are due to drop in his support among white male. Repeated lies are eating away Romney's credibility and the death of Joe Soptics wife due to blood money trader like Romney makes the case who is on the side of working people.
Loss of health insurance and it's consequence was in abstract in most peoples mind. Joe Soptics wife's death has made it real to all honorable men who love their wife and family.
No man can stand the fact their loved one was dieing inside seating right next to them but would not ask for teir help. Joel's wife understood she had to make a choice between loosing their house or fail to put food on their table or seek treatment for her disease. She quietly made her choice. The blood. money traders were happy that she decided to die quietly keeping their profit intact and spearing them any embarrassment.
Joe must have felt someone took his manhood away as he failed to provide for his wife at the worst moment in her life. But there are millions of Joe's out their who are at the mercy of the next blood money trader like Romney, who could just take away their life and loved one's from them just to put few extra dollar in their Swiss Bank.
Obamacare provides hope to all Joe's that they can take care of their family even if they loose jobs at no fault of their own. Romney wants to take that away from all Joe's. Seed- left-wing looney tune boockvar has no shot in Bux Co. we need moderates like mike fitzpatrick in washington who are willing to work across the aisle to find common-sense solutions to our problems, not fanatics (like boockvar) or running dogs like patrick murphy, who voted with san francisco socialist nancy pelosi 97% of the time
- You mean a moderate, common-sense guy like Fitzpatrick who would never dream of referring to the opposition as looney tunes, fanatics, running dogs or socialist, right, cretin? 1980
Obamacare is a "historic" caliber national disaster....and Tom, not sure if you realize it, but central Bucks does have a lot of left wing loonies. Remember last time around they sent Pat "I love living off the taxpayer spending and I am an Obama puppet" Murphy to the House???? He got slaughtered in the next election due to his blind robot support of all things Obama....guess you forgot about that, heh???? kelprod2
Hey seed watch out you don't get banned again for comments you make behind your computer screen. What kind of coward do u have to be... 420Phillie
"Joe Soptics wife's death has made it real to all honorable men who love their wife and family"
LOL!!...Just more LIBBY lies, so, let's "make it real"
FACTCHECK:
We find this ad from Priorities USA Action to be misleading on several counts.
•Steelworker Joe Soptic’s wife, Ranae, died in 2006 — five years after the plant closed.
•She didn’t lose coverage when the plant closed. Mr. Soptic told CNN that she lost her own employer-sponsored coverage a year or two later. She had no coverage after that.
•And as we’ve reported before, when the plant closed Romney was running the 2002 Winter Olympics.
These Libs are so mentally deranged and desperate they will ignore the TRUTH, say and do anything regardless of that truth and reality that is right in front of them.
Seedie, please use your Obamacare to see a mental health doctor, don't want to find out you are going to jump off a building, go to a Temple or even a movie theather for that matter. sarah89- Sarah:
Joe Soptic's story is not about one blood money trader, Romney. A second blood money trader stepped in for Romney and took away his wife's health insurance as well. Their names are different, but their intents are same.
Romney tries to avoid responsibly for his misdeeds by stating that he was CEO, sole owner, and chair of board of Bain but he was not involved! It does not take much effort to run a "winter" Olympic in the middle of "nowhere" with 1 billion dollars free money/ welfare from W.
Joe Soptics wife did take ultimate responsibility by choosing death to save roof over her family. But she should not have had to make that ultimate sacrifice to fill the Swiss bank account of Romney and his likes.
Now Romney wants to take away Obamacare from every Joe. It was time for Joe Soptic to stand up. Every Joe is greatful that he did. Seed - you are either a moron or a liar. Joe Soptic’s wife died five years after Bain closed his plant and she had her own health insurance after he lost his job.
- Did you get that little tidbit of disinformation off of Fox News? That rag of a network that feeds you the lies you post on here has a new poll out. Obama is beating Willard by 7 points! No matter Fox tried to fudge and switch the numbers, Obama still comes out on top. Your fool is gonna lose bigtime....LOL

Seed the ad about Joe's wife if a flat out lie. First of all Romney was not at Bain he was with the salt lake city Olympics. Second his wife was working and had health insurance and she didn't get sick till 5years later. Open your eyes and look for yourself instead of just taking what politicians say. skills
Politics are funny across the board. How people can sit here and puff out their chests and say things like "You see how he got killed in the next election because he supported all things Obama" - while seemingly trying to gloss over the same thing happening to Republicans who supported Bush, is laughable. This is how they get you, left -wing, right-wing, it's all a big joke. Not one person in either party gives a damn about you, just your vote. Favorthabold
Its no coincidence the least educated and poorest states in the union (mississippi, west virginia, etc) are red states. While I agree with some GOP ideas, I simply can't vote for a party whose majority does not believe in evolution. Drewmcc
