Inquirer national politics writer Tom Fitzgerald offers live analysis and highlights of the Washington Post/Bloomberg GOP debate at at the Western Republican Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Nev., beginning at 8 p.m.

Can front-runner Herman Cain and his 9-9-9 plan withstand a pounding by his rivals? Will Mitt Romney regain the spotlight? Can Rick Perry reverse his poll decline? Can Michele Bachmann get back into it?

Candidate Jon Huntsman won't be there, however. He chose to boycott the debate because  Nevada moved up its primary.
