Devo lampoons Romney, honors rooftop dog

POSTED: Thursday, August 16, 2012, 10:56 AM

Devo, the American New Wave sensation of three decades ago, is out with a new song that takes on Mitt Romney for the infamous story of how he lashed the family dog, Seamus, to the rooftop of a station wagon for a long trip to the cottage when his kids were young. He has been relentlessly mocked for the episode.

The song is called "Don't Roof Rack Me Bro (Seamus Unleashed)."

Ha ha ha... That's great! The Obama Campaign can't get any more irrelevant and pathetic. Devo carrying their dog message!
Sure beats talking about Obama's incompetence and pathetic management of the economy.
    Classic.

42 month of unemployment above 8 percent, 8.2 million people working part-time who want full-time work, a record 88 million Americans not in the labor force, 1.5 percent GDP growth in the past quarter, more bad GDP numbers expected, a stagnant housing market, $5 trillion in new debt, the downgrading of the U.S. credit rating, 38 percent of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, 45 million Americans on food stamps, food prices continuing to increase dramatically, the poverty level likely to rise to the highest level in nearly fifty years The recession that ended three years ago this summer has been followed by the feeblest economic recovery since the Great Depression.. … … and this means the plan “worked? The shine is off the Hope and Change, it's now just Hype and Blame, so you'll be going away come this November, maybe you can get your old job back as a Community Organizer, best stick to something you know how to do!

I love DEVO. But I wish these guys wouldn't try to make political statements.... DEVO Is awesome, too bad you guys don't understand musical BRILLIANCE and GENIUS. What music today is as good as this half-effort song? DEVO's flatulence has more talent than what's new.

It sure is getting difficult for the hard core lefties who populate the Inky's sites to defend Obama. 3 1/2 years and nothing of substance to show for his accomplishments mean he can only attack the other guy...obviously he can't stand on his record. He was a better community organizer than what he's done (or not) since.

Going to take a lot longer than 4 years to fix 8 years of corruption, disaster and war crimes. Probably won't be able to fix it in 8, but better than a step backwards.

I'm sure Obama called Mothersbaugh personally and asked him to write this song. Christ.
