(Updated) Christie Backs Daniels for Prez, CBS Reports

Is Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels inching closer to a run for president?

According to CBS News sources, popular New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the Republican Party's "It Boy," told Daniels he'd back him in a campaign. So did MIssissipp Gov. Haley Barbour and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

(UPDATED 2:44 pm) But colleague Matt Katz, author of The Inquirer's Christie Chronicles blog, has a denial of that CBS bulletin from Camp Christie. There's no endorsement and the net report was "premature," says the governor's top political advisor. Here is the link to Matt's post.
