What is an absolute no-no?
Avoid wearing hats, so your hair doesn't flatten out or get a static attack.
How can I protect my 'do in the shower?
Avoid excessive humidity and steam in the shower. Use a shower cap to avoid getting your hair wet.
What should I do when I work out?
Use a soft, scrunchie type of hair tie and make sure hair is pulled completely on top of your head when exercising. Afterward, while your hair is still damp at the scalp, use a medium-sized round brush with your hair dryer to refresh the style.
Have any must-try hair product recommendations?
Volume Maker
by Shu Uemura ($48) and Styling V.I.P. by Kerastase ($37) are great products that absorb oils that weigh down hair, and also boost volume and texture.
What should I do when I sleep?
Use large Velcro rollers at night, and spray your hair with a soft-hold hair spray like Laque Dentelle by Kerastase ($37). Or, pull hair on the top of your head and sleep on a satin pillowcase.
