Beautiful You: Glam your prom look 5 ways

Glam your prom look 5 ways.

Prom is a magical night filled with glamour — gorgeous dresses, hair, and makeup. If you're doing your own prom makeup, here are a few things to keep in mind:

First, decide whether to go with bold eyes or lips. Then pick colors that will complement your dress. For example, if you're wearing a gray dress, experiment with a smoky eye with silver tones and a nude lip.

Pick a long-wearing foundation with low SPF to prevent any flashback in photography. Also, blend it down the neck, so everything is even.

Avoid HD setting powders that contain loose silica powder, which can cause flashback in photography, making you look pale.

You'll be posing for lots of pictures, so don't be scared to pack on a bit more blush or eye makeup than you normally would.

Line lips with a liner and then go over them with a liquid lipstick to make the color last all night. Liquid lipsticks have extra staying power.

Take along touch-up products: blotting sheets to get rid of oily skin, gloss or lipstick; a perfume sample; a small mirror; bobby pins; and a mini hair spray.
