Never have I read a truer description of the Left. 2ndNlong
Yeah, because the party of Dan Quayle, George Bush and Sarah Palin is all about the intellect. Last Man Standing
Good man. Incredible observational skills. Loved the whole format of Ebert and Siskel reviewing movies and dissenting with each other. Just like Atty.........whoops, sorry. No tolerance for other viewpoints here.
Anyway, agree with 2ndNlong about the picture--that is not how I remember Roger Ebert. Origami
Will - please change that picture - certainly it's better that 2ndNlong be protected from images he finds uncomfortable. We wouldn't want him to be forced to deal with the reality that people get sick before they die.
Must protect 2nd's delicate emotional state, so he can proudly assert his aspiration to be emotionless.
Talking point sleuth
Sorry -- I try to use Philly.com as prime photo source and that's what they were using. It's reality -- Ebert never shied away from that, which is one of many reasons he has been so revered. will
Roger took on an "angry liberal" persona in his later years, but his passion for movies (which I share) was unquestionable. I enjoyed hearing Roger and Gene Siskel debate back and forth, and I learned a lot about movies from them. With the rise of the internet, everyone is a film critic, but before that Roger and Gene were the go to guys. It's difficult sometimes to put your distaste for someone's politics aside, especially nowadays, but I could do that with Roger Ebert. His passion for movies outweighed all that other stuff. RIP. jmc- Amen. I hardly ever watch a classic movie on TV without checking his archived review. http://rogerebert.com/
I rarely disagreed with Roger Ebert on a film review. His website was my go to source for current films as well as for selecting classic films through Netflix. RIP Roger Ebert. Yogi Spinoza
