UPDATED: Who controls the past, controls the future

For those of you who wants to follow my "Tear Down This Myth" book on Ronald Reagan by reading online excerpts rather than going out and, um, you know, buying it, here's another clue for you all -- a hunk o' Chapter 7 that was published as an exclusive excerpt on Salon.com (where you typically have to click through -- or actually watch -- an online ad.) It's about the highly self-aware shaping by Grover Norquist & Co. of the current version of the Reagan myth, a project undertaken in the latter 1990s when it seemed like the conservative movement in America was about to collapse.

You can read it here.

For you one or two hardcore TDTM fans, there's also a podcast of a radio interview I did with Bill Scher of Liberal Oasis (something Attytood is definitely not!), and I'm slated to appear around 7:30 p.m. tonight on the online version of The Young Turks Show, which is later rebroadcast on various part of Air America (on my satellite radio I know the show airs 8-10 a.m. the next day.)

UPDATE: Who controls the schedule, creates confusion: Young Turks, it turns out, will be tomorrow on the Web and Wednesday on the radio.

Stay tuned for news about a couple of national media appearances now tentatively scheduled for the second half of this week.
