Where in the world...?

It's the time of year that you've all been waiting for. I'm going to be gone for a big chunk of August for one of the most exciting vacations that I've ever taken -- exciting in the sense that I'm not positive I'll still have a job when I come back. I'm going a couple of different places -- curious readers can get a proximate GPS reading on my first stop from the photo posted above.

Thanks to the oddities of Daily News scheduling, I'll be passing back through the office on Friday night, so I'll be sure to give you a fresh open thread for your various rantings and ravings. Otherwise, you guys are on your own between now and Aug. 20. So talk amongst yourselves...and behave!
