Well, this should certainly calm America's frayed nerves

Glenn Beck is asking his fans to vote on a cover for his upcoming apocalypto novel of the next American Civil War. Personally I think this one gets the job done, although I'm not exactly sure what Conan the Barbarian has done with our Lady Liberty. I wish you could see the inscription on the bottom, to "bring me your frightened masses, yearning to buy gold." OK, I made that part up, but then remember it's all fiction...right?

- Somehow I find the BACKLASH cover more frightening--mostly because I suspect that the book inside might be about some real news of the next American Civil War.
Hmmmm...so you post another article shortly after your last one. I guess everybody saw what a big fraud you are with your last post so you go to Plan B; attack a conservative commentator...brilliant! camtheman
Any wagers on Will's new book outselling Beck's? (crickets) PhillyTru- Camtheman -- I was doing 4 or 5 posts a day (usually in a daytime and nighttime spurt) for most of the 5 years of this blog, was on a mostly 1 post-a-day schedule this winter while I was writing my book. Where have you been? And I'm sorry it's so hard for you to process more than one post at a time, will
Where have been? Avoiding the regular drivel that regularly appears on this site, so I hope you excuse me for not knowing the writing schedule and habits of Will Bunch. camtheman
Doing a great job avoiding it, cam. Keep it up. I bet Beck will release it again in a few years as nonfiction and try to start a religion like Hubbard. HandNik
Hey, did all of you conservatives check out the result of the Florida race? Before you comment, just think of all the times you said the people were tired of the "socialists." Don't let the volume of the tea party blind you from the fact that a lot of the people in this country still care about bettering life for everyone. HandNik- Better to have a cover with a picture of a Xanax pill and a bottle of Jack Daniels.
- "Any wagers on Will's new book outselling Beck's? (crickets)" Who cares? With you right wingers, truth all comes down who makes the most money. That is the only truth you know or care about.
- If his Book is Like his Column then Attywoods Book will be a Non starter
HandNik, Florida 19 is described as a "heavily Jewish district". Not much of a surprise there. And of course people want to better the country. Never met anyone who said "I want a worse country". Not sure how you come to the conclusion that if the federal government spends $3 for every $1 it takes in as revenue, we are all "better" off. BSinPA
And why are America's nerves frayed? Afte three years of a Pelosi/Reid led congress, and 15 months of an administration bumbling through foreign policy, making friends of our enemies (now laughing at us) and enemies of our friends, creating deficits that will certainly bankrupt the country, why wouldn't our nerves be frayed? BSinPA
Just thinkin'......how in hell does Goofy Beck write soooomany books w/ a full time job and daily preparations, speeches @ sites nationwide and a family w/. several kids? In music it's common for actual writers to compose and sell to performers who then take credit. In other words the cottage industry of writing produces the product for a one time fee and the "new author" takes credit. In Goofy Beck's case the 'ghost' writers must be in a cave somewhere on a distant island w/ a closet full of loincloths and an eye patch over one eye. They, no doubt, have no idea it's the 21st century and the $ 10. they're paid is a bit low. But, not to worry, there's thousands of like minded souls wandering the hills and valleys, hiways and biways of the USA waiting breathlessly for the next bound serving of bull s..t. As our hero/'author' would tearfully say, 'only in America, I love MY country......' Yuk yuk, come and gettem....suckers! stoneman- PhillyTru -- A) Beck's book will be a best-seller thanks to the Scaife's of the world who also made Palin's a best-seller through bulk purchases. Actual readers buying the book will be a fraction of the number sold. B) Far more people will actually read Will's book, even if very few people actually read it. That is because unlike Beck's followers, Will's folks actually can read. As for the cover, why not something in a nutty professor at the chalkboard motif?
Will - quick question - when Republicans were campaign in 2004 and won you and your other fellow candyland friends called it drumming up fear playing on peoples fear - yet this entire post and your new obession with beck are gettign people worked up over fear - how is this acceptable? You knwo as well as I do that there is not going to be any civil war - stop acting like a littel girl and cover real stories like this flash mob issue that will not die because politcal corectness will not call people to call these attacks on South Street patrons what they really are -- hate crimes. But hate crimes only work one way - lets get city council and that worthless mayor to do their job instead of dividing the country with ridiculous dribble like the next civil war. reddog44

Mr. Baseball - Good points and true. Beck, Palin and others depend on Wingnut Welfare to boost their sales and incomes. Pretty funny stuff. Les Ismore- "bring me your frightened masses, yearning to buy gold." . . . . . LOL, good one Will. So, what's Plan C?
through all this negative hype, my life remains unchanged. I get p.o.'d about stuff, but ultimately my normal life goes on and I look forward to doing fun things. I guess your nerves are frayed if you are a perpetual pessimist. Chill out America, life goes on. selophane43- ///Better to have a cover with a picture of a Xanax pill and a bottle of Jack Daniels.//// BillHicks, I always thought liberals were supposed to be the caring, compassionate party. Seems you're taking a jab at someone's disease of addiction. Doesn't sound too caring to me.
Geez, not another one about Glenn Beck. One on Palin can't be far behind. The good news is I can ignore this blog until Will posts something remotely interesting. pj katauskas
PJ. please do... Les Ismore
