UPDATED: Clinton campaign has a weird obsession with Obama's overseas travels
So who would have been interested in Barack Obama's overseas travels, anyway?Well, maybe it's just a coincidence, but Hillary Clinton's campaign sure was.
So who would have been interested in Barack Obama's overseas travels, anyway?
Well, maybe it's just a coincidence, but Hillary Clinton's campaign sure was (huge h/t johndeebo).
This is from a March 12 press release from Lee Feinstein, the Clinton campaign national security advisor:
How did they know so much about Obama's travels. We already know, from the February flap over the now famous "African garb" picture of Obama taken in 2005 in Kenya -- leaked by Clinton supporters to the Drudge Report -- that Clinton backers have taken an interest in their rival's trips abroad.
This was linked to last night -- but here' another probe into alleged discrepancies over Obama's European travel. (Note: I don't believe the blogger here, Steve Clemons, is supporting a candidate.)
All circumstantial, but there's a lot of strange loose ends here that need to be checked out, for sure.
UPDATE: Adding here...Just saying that when you investigate something -- and this will hopefully be investigated thoroughly -- one of the first questions is who benefits. Other than the Africa picture, which I wrote about at the time, I was unaware and a little surprised at the extent the Clinton campaign has made an issue of such matters. Just reminding folks that there are several groups -- in both parties -- with a political motive, or maybe it's all a case of George Clooney syndrome run amok. A start would be the revelation of the identity of the people who committed this offense.
In fact, as I write these words comes news that Sen. Clinton's file was breached, too.
Anyone check McCain's file yet?
