LJL: Ayres said in 2001: ''I don't regret setting bombs, I feel we didn't do enough.'' That's from the NYT. That pretty much shoots down your rehabilitated man argument, doesn't it.
But wait, it gets better. From Bloomberg News: The lobbying firm of the man Republicans say John McCain has chosen to begin planning a presidential transition earned more than a quarter of a million dollars this year representing Freddie Mac, one of the companies McCain blames for the nation's financial crisis.
Timmons & Co., whose founder and chairman emeritus is William Timmons Sr., was registered to lobby for Freddie Mac from 2000 through this month, when the federal government took over both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae."
As the kids in the chat room might say *ROTFLMAO*
Xi Jah -- be sure to add Rick Davis, McCain's campaign manager, to your list. Davis is one of a host of lobbyists working on the McCain campaign. His firm was paid $15,000 a month between 2006 and August by Freddie Mac. That sure adds up to a lot of money. What is that they say about glass houses? From a Newsweek article: "One senior McCain adviser said the entire flap could have been avoided if the campaign had resisted attacking Barack Obama for his ties to two former Fannie Mae executives, which prompted the media to take a second look at Davis. "It was stupid," the adviser said. "A serious miscalculation and an amateurish move."" And, I might add, another indicator of McCain's erratic behavior. Talk about your not ready to lead.
1) Give up the Ayres thing. It is complete BS and you know it.
2) Give up the voter fraud BS too. Yes there were some bad registration forms submitted because poor folks were being paid by the voter they signed up. But they defrauded ACORN, not anybody else. It is not voter fraud unless illegal voters actually show up and try to vote. Maybe if the right would try to help give people an opportunity to vote, rather than trying to disenfranchise them, there would be less problems.
3) Your failure to admit that the behavior in this video is just plain wrong is a tacit admission that your party has no morals. The so-called conservative Christians will lie, cheat and steal to get power. They will break every one of the 10 commandments, then tell us it is OK because they have moral authority behind their cause. How sad. How pathetic.
After I played the video, I thought, "You probably could get strong words about Sarah Palin (and less strong ones about McCain) at an Obama rally." Then I thought about it some more. I have listened to rallies from both Obama-Biden and McCain-Palin on the radio. I heard some McCain supporter call out "Kill him!" as Sarah Palin was condemning Obama for being anti-American. Of course, neither Obama nor Biden have ever said anything about McCain except that he is a misguided war hero whose policies are not very different from those of the current Administration. Somehow that does not provoke the crowd to cry anything like "terrorist" or "kill him." So I guess my first thought was wrong--you could not get mean, totally uninformed reactions by videotaping interviews at an Obama (or Biden) rally.
Will - you better hope BHO doesnt gets elected. You will be out of job...with no one else to slam in your blog. Or maybe you will finally move on to more immediate concerns in your town, like the corrupt city government. Oh- wait, thats your party....

Ayers was a member of the Chicago Annenberg Committee. Annenberg, named after Walter Annenberg. Former heavy Republican contributor. Former friend of and ambassador under Reagan. Former owner of the Inky and Daily News who used to find ingenious ways of keeping Mayor Tate's picture out of the papers, even airbushing him out of the middle of a group picture. Annenberg, a man to the right of Gordon Liddy. Somehow, he and his wife had no qualms about Ayers being on an education committee that bears his name. Now, jmc, xi, and your ilk, why don't you shut up and talk about an issue the country actually cares about.

Xi Jah, no comment on the Liddy-McCain relationship? heck, you don't even need evidence, you actually have McCains own words.

Let's forget for a moment, jmc, that Bill Ayers hasn't been involved in a proven criminal act and his last known violent act was during the 1960's. Since then, he's been a prominent public school reformer - you really have to watch out for those who care deeply about American children, they're like a ticking time bomb.
Finally, some good news from the Mountain State! Obama is up by 8 points here, a state that was all but written off for McCain. Joe Six Pack is coming home. Go Phils!
Lets see how long the frauds, frothing with outrage over Obama's minimal connection to ayers, can ignore this.
"I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family," McCain gushed. "It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."
Really John, you're proud of a convicted felon who said this:
"If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms insists upon a firefight, give them a firefight. Just remember, they're wearing flak jackets and you're better off shooting for the head."
Or better yet:
"Hitler's sheer animal confidence and power of will [entranced me]. He sent an electric current through my body."
Ooops, I need to correct myself. Vogler never spoke to the UN but was planning to in 1993 with the sponsorship of Iran. He was murdered before he got that chance. An associate confessed to the murder claiming it was done in an illegal sale of plastic explosives gone bad. The AIP however believes he was assassinated by the US government in order to avoid the embarrassment of his speech to the UN.
You want a connection. Look at McCain's connection to G Gordon Liddy. Convicted felon from watergate. Told Waco cult to shoot ATF members in the head because they wore vests. Admits to being excited by Hitlers speeches. McCain went on his radio show and called him my friend. Also went to a fundraiser at his house. Noe righties, do your homeowrk. This article was written in may, menaing that the Ayers connection is tired and old, and being used as a distraction for their flagging campaign. On the other hand, how much national attention has Liddy's connection to McCain received?

"I just can't believe Obama's campaign hasn't figured out how to get widespread media attention for this. ..." My guess is that either they're not interested (trying to be less "negative" than McCain), or it is simply that he doesn't have a mouthpiece of the same level of magnitude as frightwing talk radio and Fox. As much as the frightwinger whine about how unfair the MSM is - because they aren't covering the Ayers nonsense 24/7 (as they did the whole Wright kerfluffle), they seem not to notice that the "MSM" also doesn't cover this kind of nonsense 24/7 either. There's plenty of other stuff, also. Graham's involvement in McCain's campaign. McCain's connections to preachers who essentially did the same thing Wright did - "blaming" the U.S. for 9/11. I think the answer to your question is that it is just hard to manipulate the "MSM," because all they care about is ratings, whereas Fox and frightwing radio are actually just as focused on partisan messages as they are on ratings - if not more so.
"They were hired due to their politics and they were fired due to their politics...simple as that. No one did anything illegal...." I see. No one did anything illegal. Maybe - it has yet to be settled through proceedings. Or maybe what they did wasn't illegal - just unconstitutional? Republican politicians pressured JD attorneys to prosecute bogus voter fraud cases - and then fired those attorneys because they refused to prosecute bogus cases. But yeah, nothing illegal happened. Nice. No spinning there. Nope. Not a bit. None.
TPS, LOL. I just can't believe Obama's campaign hasn't figured out how to get widespread media attention for this. Not that I really care about Palin's association with AIP. It's a free country, radicals and all, and Vogler possessed that revolutionary spirit that originally founded this country (as did Ayers). But Palin has to ultimately denounce this guy just as Obama denounced Ayers and Wright. It's only fair.
"Mr. Idiot-the point is that they knew they were being set up, and they responded with what you wanted to hear, stereotypical answers to stupid questions...." Ah. Thanks for clearing that up, Sleepy. So those McCain supporters, in reality, don't believe that Obama is a terrorist, or that he's a Muslim, all that stuff, right? They were just pretending to believe those things because they wanted to create a positive impression for the viewing public. Is that right? Thanks for clearing things up.
MSL - I'm going to take a wild stab at that last question. Was it Tina Fey?
He's Joe Vogler of course, founder of AIP, and who's still adored by that separatist group, in which Todd Palin was a confirmed member until 2002. Guess who addressed their convention in 2000 by confiding that she shared their "vision"?
Just heard an interesting stat. !00% of McCain's recent ads have been negative ads. Obama? 1/3. Gee, I wonder why Will posted a video of McCain supporters calling Obama a terrorist. And btw, even Obama's negative ads are related to issues. McCain's? Obama's "character." Gee, I wonder why Will posted a video of McCain supporters attacking Obama's "character." It's all (1) a big coincidence, (2) a vast left-wing librul conspiracy, or (3) Sandy Berger's fault.
Iran was his sponsor for the UN speech. Oh, come now. Who is it?
He denounced the US as a "tyranny" in 1993 before the United Nations. Jimmy Carter? Nope.
“When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets." . . . Okay, it's that wacko Dave Koresh, or maybe Timothy McVeigh, right? Um, no.
“My government is my worst enemy. I’m going to fight them with any means at hand.” Some confederate rebel? 60s radical? Nope. Nope.
Sleepy - Pls provide links to vidoe you have seen of Dems acting as you say. Otherwise crawl back under your rock and commune with the rest of your ilk.
"I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her (expletive deleted) institutions." Nope, not Bill Ayers.
"I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." Hmmmm, getting the picture?
"{The United States} can scarcely be critical of nations that break their pledges and break its own. It must first cast the beam out of its own eye before attempting to pull the motes of its neighbors' eyes" Nope, not Rev Wright, not even close. More to come.
"He's not just talk like these people, he blows up what he doesn't like." . . . . jmc, you seem to know "these people" personally. Or are you just making assumptions?
Uh, jmc, I know you cons like living in the 50's, but Ayers has rehabilitated his life (I know you guys HATE that, because, well, once a criminal...Oh wait, John McLame was involved in something once, I think)...He is an acknowledged expert on education, has served on several non-profit boards, and has won exemplary citizen awards Other than that, do you have any relevant or meaningful to say, or are you as vacuous, brainless and ignorant as Palin and her gestapo followers?....Never mind, you already answered that question. Life will suck for you for the next 8 years eh? I guess you kind of feel like Adolf did when Jesse Owens won.....
Sleepy - a question for you: why do you have such a low opinion of the ability of McCain supporters to detect when they're being duped?
Mr. Idiot-the point is that they knew they were being set up, and they responded with what you wanted to hear, stereotypical answers to stupid questions.
"Surely if all kinds of crowds have their share of morons, somebody will come up with a youtube at an Obama rally" If you go over to LGF, they regularly post videos of, well, "interesting" Dem supporters.
The difference is Obama and Biden are not inciting nor encouraging the "nutjobs".
Surely if all kinds of crowds have their share of morons, somebody will come up with a youtube at an Obama rally. People are more likely to laugh at Sarah Palin than anything else. In the meantime, what the heck happened on Wall Street? The last time I looked around 11 ish, is was tottering along at about -70. I take a look now and it's down 550.
"I've seen plenty of videos of Dems giving McCain supporters the finger and screaming at them, and threatening them, give me a break." Ah yes. I've never, ever, ever, before seen a Republican responding to malevolent behavior by Republicans by saying "but Dems do it too." Never, ever seen that. Nope. Never. Oh, and another gem, indeed: "It was obvious they were being set up." Ah, those poor McCain supporters - being duped by the evil, sly Democrat. Sleepy - a question for you: why do you have such a low opinion of the ability of McCain supporters to detect when they're being duped? Does it have anything to do with the fact that they continue to vote Republican because it's the party of small government even though over the past eight administrations each and every Republican administration has had a poorer federal spending/revenues ratio than every previous or subsequent Democratic administration?
"I assumed that you were talking about the long lines in poor sections of Ohio, the Diebold machines, etc. " That's what happens when you respond to something someone wrote, without bothering to read it first. What about --snip-- You know, those claims that States' Attorney investigated and determined were unfounded. You know, those States' Attorney that the Bush administration fired because they refused to prosecute prosecute Democrats for voter fraud, even though no such fraud existed, because Republican politicians wanted to use the Justice Department for political expediency? --snip-- made you think I was talking about Diebold in Ohio, legatus? Lol!
You know who's part of the Obama mob: Bill Ayres. He's not just talk like these people, he blows up what he doesn't like.
I've seen plenty of videos of Dems giving McCain supporters the finger and screaming at them, and threatening them, give me a break. DO you think that some of this was a little tongue in cheek? It was obvious they were being set up.
At 3:23 you make my point for me. There are lunatics on both sides and they are manipulated by each side as well. I don't have to hold lunatic leftwingers to account...I simply stated that they exist and you have agreed that they do indeed. "it's just a joke when you show up to defend Republican nutjobs" I CLEARLY didn't defend anyone above. I simply asked will what his point was, as there are morons on both sides of the fence...a point with which you agree.
As to the voter fraud & party reversal, I assumed that you were talking about the long lines in poor sections of Ohio, the Diebold machines, etc. While I disagreed with the way the Bush Admin handled the states attorneys, there is no spinning needed for their firings. They were hired due to their politics and they were fired due to their politics...simple as that. No one did anything illegal.

"You seem to be implying that there is voter fraud going on now, but since the political parties are reversed, it is simply payback for the lack of accountability for the voter fraud that occured a while back?..." Huh? The parties aren't reversed. It was Republican politicians who pressured States' Attorney to prosecute cases of voter fraud among Dems even though the States Attorneys told them there wasn't sufficient evidence of such. The only thing I'm saying about the cases that are at hand now is that we simply don't know how valid any of the evidence is, and if it is valid, we don't know how widespread it is. Yet, Republicans use the cases that are going on now to justify some wild-eyed conspiracy theory about Dem voter fraud. It is not at all uncommon for parties of both sides to use the justice system cynically to pursue voter fraud cases just before an election to intimidate voters, and to create the impression that a given election is tainted. What we do have evidence of is that Republicans - the Bush administration - systematically corrupted the judicial system for the purpose of political expediency. Spin that one away, legatus. Have at it.
There is a part 2 on that guys YouTube site that is even better than that first video Will. A womans young child says "You need gloves to touch him" referring to Obama.
Lol! legatus shows up to point out that it is irrelevant that some of McCain's supporters think Obama is a terrorist - because some people on the left are loons. The point is, legatus, that it is no accident that there are McCain supporters that think that Obama is a terrorist. Do you think that when Republican party officials make statements along those lines it is just a coincidence? How about when they explicitly use Obama's middle name to clearly make a point? How about when the McCain campaign produces commercials that state that Obama is "friends" with domestic terrorists - that his "career was launched" in Ayers' living room? How about when frightwing talk radio - the single biggest mouthpiece of the Republican party - constantly promotes the notion that Obama is a "Marxist." Look, legatus, if you want to hold lunatic leftwingers to account, go to it. More power to you. But it's just a joke when you show up to defend Republican nutjobs - although given the scum you've showed up to defend in the past, it isn't exactly surprising.
Scary stuff right there. These people are insane.
McCain's rallies are full of these jerks - when will McCain apologize for people screaming 'terrorist' when he mentions Obama. These people are sick.
This BS is tolerated and even encouraged at these rallies.
It's such a bunch of lies - the Republicans should be (and some are) embarrassed by this wave of garbage.
When Obama wins he will prove he will be the president for all Americans!!
You seem to be implying that there is voter fraud going on now, but since the political parties are reversed, it is simply payback for the lack of accountability for the voter fraud that occured a while back?
"Let me know when you will cover ACORN getting nabbed red-handed trying to commit voter fraud...." Funny thing about that. I seem to remember some other claims about voter fraud a while back. You know, those claims that States' Attorney investigated and determined were unfounded. You know, those States' Attorney that the Bush administration fired because they refused to prosecute prosecute Democrats for voter fraud, even though no such fraud existed, because Republican politicians wanted to use the Justice Department for political expediency? You do know about all of that, don't you bdphilly?
I'm thinkin' those are some of the "prisoners" that McCain was referring to.
Exactly what is your point Will? Prior to your blog entry, did I have any doubt that we'd be able to find both morons and geniuses at Obama, Biden, McCain or Palin rallies? No...not at all.
Let me know when you will cover ACORN getting nabbed red-handed trying to commit voter fraud. Or when you will outline the Anti-American scumbags Obama claims not to know. And finally, when will you cover the fact that you, Will Bunch, know absolutely nothing about baseball. I must say Will, you are a marketing campaign's dream come true.
Let us know when you find "fans" calling for a race war, like Fatima Ali, will.
