What I found interesting was that al-Maliki barely registered any reaction at all. Looks like he was either in on it, or was high on hash.

Well, al-Maliki is used to having to avoid car bombs and RPGs so I can understand him being a little non-plussed by a shoe. I mean, who throws a shoe, honestly? (that was my Austin Powers impression of the day)
