That's exceptional, America (Super Bowl edition)

POSTED: Thursday, January 31, 2013, 9:33 PM

Crass and exploitative commercialism.

Bizarre drugs.

Prejudice against gays.

 A love child.

Prejudice against the developmentally challenged.

Existential doubt.

More prejudice against gays.

A guy who they say killed a man (or two) once.*

More drugs.

Porn.

Tattoos.

Lip-synching.

More racist ads.

Like it or not, the Super Bowl is America. I've watched every blessed one of them, since I was a 7-year-old boy in January 1967, and I'll be watching again on Sunday night.

Who could possibly look the other way?

Have a great weekend.

* If you don't get the reference there, PLEASE go out and read The Great Gatsby before you come back.

The left's attack on football continues. Since Barry said we should all feel guilty watching it, I must feel guilty.

I wonder if Limbaugh has ever mentioned Caste Football? If not, ignore it. You might feel guilty for supporting a sport which insidiously keeps the white man down.

And I thought the SB was only about the Harbaugh brothers.

The readily offended (nee whiners) must be doing a circle j@rk. Yes, accusing a people of being happy is racist, pointing out that the developmentally challenged aren't the brightest folks is mean (to top it off Harbaugh impinges the decision making of the mentally challenged during the ritual apology). Diversity is great as long as you don't notice the differences. Part of the slide from greatness is the need to protect people from what they are.

Being Irish-Italian and Catholic myself, I'm grateful our American culture let my ancestors call out bigotry and still allowed them to celebrate their differences. I guess in your world, stereotyping (a la 'Jersey Shore') is a sure sign of ascending to greatness.

Why do gun manufacturers have special exemptions against lawsuits which other consumer product manufacturers don't? Also, notice when these laws went into effect - 2005. This needs to change immediately.

Really? You think 20 first graders being massacred in their school is something to yawn at? What's it like being a stooge for the gun manufacturers?

Looks like you're pretty obsessed with me. I've read your juvenile nonsense on other threads so stop denying that you're conservative. I know...I'd be embarrassed too. And what's with the "LOL"s at the end of every post? Sarah, is that you?

The good will turn away. As real Americans will be pitching a stand selling wares, serving beer to the foolish, and making a dollar. Sin increases sales and motivates many. The good just profit from it.
