Th deck chairs on the Titanic are looking a little different today

Th deck chairs on the Titanic are looking a little different today

Could that be because of the announcement that just 17 short months after he was criticized in a scathing open letter on Attytood, Charlie Gibson has finally been forced out* at ABC "World News Tonight," to be replaced by former Nixon aide Diane Sawyer.

The significance? Beyond taking some of the gossip and some of the pressure off of Katie Couric for a while, none that I can think of.

However, if you want a sense of how overly self-important network TV news anchors take themselves (and we take them), check out this picture from the "transition" -- taken in the Oval Office!
