Rupture it like Beckham

POSTED: Sunday, March 14, 2010, 8:52 PM

For all of us who were pumped over the prospect of watching David Beckham compete against the United States in their massively huge World Cup match against England on June 12...uh, that's not going to happen. Maybe someday...is there a Senior World Cup?

The England team will probably be better without him , he brings to much of a circus with him . He is more interested in self adulation than he is in the team thats why Fergie bombed him out of Old Trafford . That said in his day he was a fantastic player its a pity his wife ruined his career .

I dunno, I think he was better now than around the time of the 2006 World Cup, wife or no wife. Besides, I'm calling a US upset in that game, Beckham or no Beckham.

My family has a history of Achilles problems - my sympathies to Becker, it is a very nasty injury.

Will , thats the beauty of football , you just never know , I'm torn between wanting the US to do really well and a life time loyalty to the three lions , I'm hoping for a draw with England winning the other two games and finishing top , the US has a great chance of getting second . If your right and the US win game one its all up in the air .

///For all of us who were pumped over the prospect of watching David Beckham compete against the United States in their massively huge World Cup match/// The number of people who were "pumped" to watch this, odly enough, matches exactly the number of people who have commented on this thread thus far: four.
