Keep talking...I'm not working today (officially, for a change) but I expect to be back tomorrow. Did President Obama do anything horrible in the meantime...he did what?

TPS -- the division of America started with the Clintons. The "politics of personal destruction" started with Bill - from both sides. And I would even say that it started with conservatives, since we hated him so much -- it turned out that we were right about his moral character. The dems continued that practice with GWB, and took it to another level with the shrill screaming, whining, and outright false attacks on his intelligence, his veracity, and his character. Now the "savior" is here, and dems for some reason expect to not get what they gave to 'W', which is naive. In the end, it needs to stop. It is dividing and hurting America. We are NOT so far apart in our thoughts that we can't come to agreement on most things, and agree to have civil discourse on the things we can't agree on. Here are a bunch of things that "divide" us, that I think we actually can agree on, but stated in a different way to reach that agreement. 1. It's not good to be $10 trillion in debt. 2. Taxes need to be assessed fairly - having the top 10% of Americans pay 95% of the tax bill will result in corruption. 3. Abortion is abhorrent, and should not be used as birth control. We should do everything possible to avoid having to make this choice, without laws banning it outright. There should be parental consent for those under 18, and partial birth abortion restrictions. 4. We should do everything possible to make sure that criminals don't have guns, including enforcing the existing laws. 5. Osama bin laden should be hunted down until dead. 6. Iraq was a mistake, but is getting a lot better. We are responsible for our mistakes, and owe the Iraqi people a commitment to fix it (they also need to own their country). 7. We need to maintain the world's best military to protect our interests and citizens. 8. While global warming is not proven, we should do all we can to reduce pollution and wasteful use of resources.

Nice list Iggle. There is one other thing that both Democrats and Republicans can agree on....that Specter is a joke.
