thanks for posting this! more here: http://brendancalling.com/2008/12/08/when-will-the-eagles-settle-their-debt-and-save-our-libraries/ Make sure you pass this video along: our city bleeds green, but the Eagles are bleeding US dry. Make your voice heard! Call the Philadelphia Eagles at 215-463-5500. Call the Mayor’s action center at 215-686-3000. Find your representative on City Council at www.phila.gov, and ask them why communities have to suffer for the Eagles’ greed and whether they have plans to publicly shame this corproate deadbeat into meeting its obligations to our city, our community, and our kids.

I think that this would the best way PR wise for the Eagles, who have thrived financially in recent years, to finally square up with the city. Now if we could just do something about all that unpaid property tax...

"I think that this would the best way PR wise for the Eagles, who have thrived financially in recent years, to finally square up with the city." yes, it would be a massive PR boost that would pay dividends for years. go look at their website, and see how these greedy hypocrites like to brag about all the good they do for children and communities. why, they even have a bookmobile: unfortunately, those hold a lot fewer books than even a tiny branch library, and don't offer internet access, after-school programs, or adult ed programs. they shoudl change the team name to the Deadbeats.

"BTW - why do Frank & Dodd still get face time on the telly? In fact, why aren't they both in jail?" What crimes have they been convicted of? What crime have they been indicted for? Or are you suggesting the President just declare them enemy combatants so we can dispense with all that due process stuff?

Seriously swifty, do you have an answer for the Grey Hipster? Surely you're able to quote the exact criminal statutes they violated.

If "shenanigans" were jailable, I'm afraid we'd need much bigger prisons. Fortunately, thanks to the founding fathers, it takes more than an accusation of shenanigans to deprive citizens of their liberty (except for the aforementioned enemy combatants).

I don't disagree with your political assessment but there's a big leap from that to jail time. Unless you have evidence of an actual CRIME...
