UPDATED: Rick Santorum doesn't think these people work in the real America

Remember 9/11, and how the entire nation rallied around our brothers, the fellow Americans of New York City? Apparently Rick Santorum doesn't -- although he does apparently remember Sarah Palin and the "pro-America" parts of America:

"I kept saying, you just stick with us, you go out and vote for your values and trust what you know," Santorum said Saturday, fresh off his victory in the Kansas caucuses. "Because you don't live in New York City. You don't live in Los Angeles. You live like most Americans in between those two cities, and you know the values you believe in."

New York and California haven't voted yet. It will be interesting to see what Santorum tells the un-American pinkos of those two states.

UPDATE: Also not one of the pro-America parts of America: Puerto Rico. Santorum channels the late Joey Vento:

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum told Puerto Ricans on Wednesday they would have to make English their primary language if they want to pursue U.S. statehood, a statement at odds with the U.S. Constitution.

Santorum is apparently entitled to his own facts:

"Like any other state, there has to be compliance with this and any other federal law," Santorum said. "And that is that English has to be the principal language. There are other states with more than one language such as Hawaii but to be a state of the United States, English has to be the principal language."

However, the U.S. Constitution does not designate an official language, nor is there a requirement that a territory adopt English as its primary language in order to become a state.

I guess Santorum doesn't want to be a "snob" and actually know what he's talking about.
