There's nothing more depressing than realizing that your "Generation Jones"-mate Prince is now the Grumpy Old Man of rock 'n' roll:
Prince tells the Bristish tabs:
He went on to say: “The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated.
Prince also criticised the advent of gadgets and computers: “All these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
"They just fill your head with numbers and that cant be good for you.”
The sad thing is that I kind of agree with him. And ironically, the picture that ran with this article was obviously created on a computer, or else Prince's head is 5X larger than his body.

Here is something to talk about - 80 days oil still spilling but the administration and media give very little coverage or roast the administration for thier lack of attention. Bush totally screwed up Katrina and Obama is screwing this up equally as bad - but I await the next Glenn Beck article used to distract people from the incompetance of this administration and show the one sided bias writing that takes place. Maybe investigate the $48,000,000.00 tax payers of philly are on the hook for with "summer school" for slackers and for those WHO EVEN PASS THEIR CLASS. Maybe look into that some instead of doing google searches on Beck.— reddog44

- "They just fill your head with numbers and that cant be good for you.” What is that supposed to mean? And I don't really watch MTV, but I think Prince left their market years ago. MTV is only going to broadcast what people watch. If you think MTV shows are that dumb, remember that thought the next time you're watching the Three Stooges. MTV doesn't owe Prince or anybody of his generation anything. MTV has to find programming to market. That's all. If the "hip" programming still drew viewers, it would still be on. It's an old saw. Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey were real musicians. Bobby Darin and Buddy Holly were real singers. Eric Clapton was som much better when he was with Cream and Blind Faith. Elvis Costello was so much more authentic than Billy Joel. Metallica was so much better before they cut their hair. Brett Michaels pretty much stunk all the time.— SteveMG

- It is becoming increasingly clear that the Republican agenda is to ensure the recession is a double-dip recession. They have voted against UE insurance extensions and will not vote for a right-sized stimulus package. They know that America must suffer even more than it has to ensure a few Regressive seat pickups in the fall. The sad part is that they have no plans for governing after the elections either. I can't believe I'd ever miss President George W. Bush. At least the phony flight suit/burning brush on the ranch routine was a bit more convincing than Presidente Obamaperon's 4th of July BBQ speech tossing some leftist rhetoric (while Michellita looks on) at servicemen from a balcony. I really wanted to believe Obama wasn't a rotten guy, but his people won't even prosecute the dbag Black Panthers. If the White Tigers were blocking someone's entry to a voting place, Holder would escort them in chains to jail. In Jeremiah Wright/Michelle Obama's America, those new black panthers were oppressed and deserve to get their payback on whitey.
