Apparently there's a new policy: Philadelphia cops who venture out into their neighborhoods and shoot and kill unarmed guys are now fired! It's a new day in Philadelphia. We'd like to think that maybe nogoodnik cop Frank Tepper might get arrested and charged with murder, too -- but that will probably have to wait until the 2020s. Seriously, the coming weeks will tell us whether electing Seth Williams as the new DA was worth the hype.

"alleged" nogoodnick. Or "nogoodnick of interest". Maybe "suspectnik".

Good to see Ramsey make the right call on this. Even if it took way too long.

A PD is just a subset of society. There are thugs, criminals and slime on a force just like in the general society.....And a police force hides behind the same "secrecy" and "code" and "no snitch" policy like many inner city neighborhoods. The only thing surprising here are there are still people naive enough to think it's all Dragnet and Adam 12.

Hey Will, I don't know if you write your own headlines, but it is NOT a new decade. The new one begins January 1, 2011. There was NO YEAR ZERO!

People are way too whiney. When something bad happens, they cry like babies. When something good happens, they still cry and make derisive comments. Note to NYC sucks: 2000 was the start of the millenium AND the decade. Yet another case of people trying to find fault with everything.

Manny: Congrats on making the decade's most moronic statement. People will have to work hard to top your remark. Maybe you can start a fund now for the killer cop....er. ex-cop and now just killer.

Quick question, was Year 2000 part of the 90's? Can someone please get this right for me. I was kinda leaning Will's direction, then NYC sucks threw in his monkey wrench.

Did somebody publish a set of decade rules? As far as I'm concerned, the decade is defined by the tens digit. So the very first decade only got nine years. BFD.
