Olbermann, who else?

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that one of your favorite bloggers is mentioned about 80 percent of the way into it.

Talking point sleuth
Olberman misses the point. Obama didn't support the FISA bill because he's worried about being labeled weak on terror (Olberman is right that he will be labeled that way regardless. The average American probably cares little about his vote here. He did it because he's cozying up to big business. Which is why he won't promise to initiate criminal proceedings if elected.

Will, I know you read my last post, so I must ask that you stop using the phrases I have re-introduced back into you lexicon. I liked your premise for this blog, but hey, I know you are reading these posts, and doing a sispyhean job of keeping them current and clean. I just don't enjoy giving you a chuckle about how I am the only person who has noticed your new ultra-brawny pic and used then used the term remiss to descibe it, and can see it hit up in you K.O. post. Just a little origination, or perhaps co-creative credits, Hercules.

Interesting that Bunch is one of the few hundred people who watch this empty suit. Must not be any reruns of Mork & Mindy against it.

No, b, he's stopped saluting you and O'Reilly. Funny how none of you can see the forest for the trees. Olberman is about the only commentator who has the guts to call out the bushies and the libs. Guess that's too hard for you to understand: someone who points out the foibles of both sides. Now that the bush crimes against the Constitution are being revealed more and more, by gov't insiders, no less, you can do nothing but shoot the messenger rather than learning the truth about your hero, bush. You like his style of government? Then move over to Russia-Putin will love to have you.

Great..With by then, probably $8 a gallon gas, housing market even worse, and the problems of inner cities..Obama's first order of business should be to prosecute some Government folks..Good Stuff

I got a note from Chris Dodd (I am on a lot of e-mail lists that ask for money) encouraging me to support his filibuster against the current version of the FISA bill. Although I did not give Sen. Dodd any money (state of economy is not great these days, locally as well as nationally), I did give him some encouragement and felt that it was a good idea to write to Obama to suggest that the supports Dodd also. Least I could do (literally). Obama takes one baby step to the right every day (today it was government support for faith-based operations). So far, however, he has not managed to get to the right of McCain. But he ought to worry about losing the support of the young and others who just might not vote if they felt there was not much difference between the two candidates.
