The New York Times calls Ditech about a home equity line of credit, presumably in order to consolidate all those pesky credit card bills into one low monthly payment.*
I think they should go with Lending Tree, because when banks compete, you win. That's what Henry Paulson told me.
UPDATE: Well...THAT didn't take too long, did it?
* OK, they're not really using Ditech -- but maybe they should consider it, at least?

The NYT is a liberal rage that has had it's brand name destroyed by bias, agenda driven reporting.
I don't have one ounce of symapthy for the New York Times.
One more month and W will be gone. Worst President ever!
I'm no financial expert but isn't this a no-brainer? The NYT owns like 60% of their new prime located hi-rise outright and is borrowing on 2 lines of credit at market (!) rates. Getting a mortgage or a secured laon against the property would be much cheaper than borrowing on a line a credit. It would be like me not accessing the cash in my Chase money market (interest paid at 0.75%) but living on my VISA card where I pay interest at a rate of 22%.
"One more month and W will be gone." I thought you were talking about me for a split second.
Will, is it too soon to begin discussing Toffler's 'prosumer' model as it applies to the news biz?

Jimbo, good one! But keep in mind, as goes Will's Attytood, so go the scholarly contributions of swifty, batty, and friends. Their future seems a bit more uncertain than Will's.

fyi - LA Times and Chicago Tribune have filed for bankrupcy. Is it time for The Buggles to write a new song "Video Killed the Print Media".
"Liberals cannot run businesses nor goverments..." Oh, but conservatives can - only they can only run them into the ground... Heckuva job, marginalized minority!

genius not, can you name something good run by conservatives? Can you write something good, period?
