{{{---}}} Simple, you trip all over yourself to defend Islam and Muslims against criticism, yet mock American politicans religious views. {{{==}}} Still lying, eh RG? I have pointed out bigotry. I mock American politicians who advocate for a theocracy, and who make laughable statements like that there is scientific evidence that supports creationism (as O'Donnell has done). What a liar you are, RG. I have always denounced the misogyny and violence and intolerance of fundamentalist Muslims. Always. What a liar you are, RG. LIAR!! LIAR!!

To sum up, IMO a sizable amount of muslims are about 300 years behind the curve of adherents of the other major religions in comprehending that murder and repression of rights aren't the best way to convert nonbelievers. Because of this, I'm not real sympathetic that Islam isn't always widely embraced by the public, as its not their right to have others accept them with open arms (apply this logic to Scientology and its non controversial). Now, if the government abridges on their freedom to worship, or if violent acts are committed against them, I'm clearly oppposed to that. But they simply don't have a right to not eb offended by others criticism.

RG, so you would agree that Christianity is supsect because the KKK acted in its name. A question of scope? Maybe so, if you honestly beleive segregation was a myth and not the "sharia" law of the South, and that white protestants had no sympathy at all for the Klan's cause.

"so you would agree that Christianity is supsect because the KKK acted in its name." If adherents of the religion used this asa justification for their actions, sure. I have no problem with the statement "Christians enslaved and segregated us".

{{{---}}} The Sloth will provide you with examples of his many criticisms of Islam just as soon as he gets back from yoga class. {{{---}}} Here's what's so telling. You are simply incapable of understanding that theocracies, and radical fundamentalists, and Islam, are not all one and the same. You really just can't grasp that concept. It must be too complex for such a simple-minded bloke. I said that I had criticized radical jihadists and Muslim theocracies. I didn't say I had criticized "Islam." Islam, like any religion, can be used as a tool by intolerant and violent fundamentalists. I criticize orthodox Jews who think that homosexuals should be stoned to death, Jews who want to turn Israel into a theocratic state. I don't criticize Judaism. And I criticize Muslims who stone women to death and create theocracies. But thanks, once again sloboat, for putting your bigotry on full display. Namaste.

"And I criticize Muslims who stone women to death and create theocracies." You must do that on your spare time when hanging out with all your Muslim friends, Costanza. Cause we havent seen it here.

RG, I suppose you'd have to be a Christian to have a problem with it.

{{{---}}} Of course the Muslim response was predictable {{{---}}} Classic. "The Muslim response." Absolutely classic. Let's hold "The Muslims" responsible for the reactions of extremists. You've just summed up the bigotry perfectly there, birdie. Congratulations.

"RG, I suppose you'd have to be a Christian to have a problem with it." Or a thin skinned person incapable of handling criticism aimed not at me directly, but either a larger group I'm a part of or belief system I adhere to.

{{{---}}} Cause we havent seen it here. {{{---}}} Funny how what I do and don't do has become your obsession, RG. Of course, you made an accusation, a lie in fact, without any evidence, so the responsibility of proof does fall on you. But regardless, if you go back to the archives of the many debates I had with db cooper and even sloboat you would find it. I have no problem criticizing fundamentalist extremists of any type, and religious intolerance and bigotry wherever it raises its ugly head. These fantasies about how I defend extremists Muslims and Muslim theocracies are only in your head, RG. That's what happens when you live in a fantasy world, you lose touch with reality.

Alas, RG, there are too many thin-skinned folk in this world. Indeed, just say the Tea Party is racist, and watch the bleeding here. Your solution would be to fan the flames of hatred?

{{{---}}} So where are these examples Sloth? {{{---}}} At least you have company in your obsession with what I have and haven't said, RG. Do you remember the last time you accused me of lying, sloboat? Reemember, when you called that nice woman poster all kinds of obscenities and then claimed that I was lying when I called you on it? Remember how much it stung when I dug up the exact quotes? Too funny.

"Of course, you made an accusation, a lie in fact, without any evidence, so the responsibility of proof does fall on you." Why do you hold me to a higher standard than yourself? You claimed that attytood conservatives defend child abuse the other day. You also claimed that posters supported cop killers in the Pittsburgh case. You provided no proof for either claim. Speaks volumes about your character.
