OK, in the interest of journalistic balance I'm supposed to say something nice now about John McCain, so here goes. Unlike John Kerry, he's smart enough not to risk eating a Philly cheesesteak in front of the cameras!

He asked to come here," said McDavid, a registered Democrat who voted for Sen. Hillary Clinton in the primary. "I trust John McCain. I don't agree with all of his policies, but I trust him. I'm not brave enough to take a chance on someone who has no track record."

Even through the McCain table ordered some Diner food -- like pie and burgers -- McCain specially asked for a doggie bag.

"He made a special request for two
Rick's cheesesteaks to go," McDavid said. "With hot peppers."

Hot peppers -- that's a huge improvement over Swiss cheese. A true man of the people. As for his event here in the City of Brotherly Love, the Inquirer called it...strange:

This was a strange event. The candidate's lunch with the women was private. So we have no idea what they talked about. And the statement he made when it was over was largely drowned out by several dozen supporters of Barack Obama chanting "O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma!" They were in the main part of the market, out of sight but certainly not out of earshot.

Whomever these supporters of Obama were (does Johnny Doc have an alibi for his whereabouts?), this was pretty low class. Let the man speak! We need for John McCain to talk, and especially to let him answer questions, so he can respond to this and this and this and this and this and this and so on....

Classless liberal zealots acting like fools!? No, I don't believe it! Oh, and since you didn't question McCains honor, as all liberal media stooges have been instructed by the DNC mothership, you can expect a cranky phone call of Chairman Dean...

Gosh I still love that picture. He looks downright frightened by it.

I love it when the loony left can't help themselves but to keep attacking Palin. Especially when really astute hollywood stars get in the mix. So Matt Damon thinks it's a disaster that Palin could become President because, in his opinion, she doesn't have enough experience and that is a big problem since she will be Vice President and could become President. So, tell me Matt, your solution is to endorse Obama, who has less experience than Palin to actually be the President! Yes that makes perfect sense. Don't vote for McCain because Palin doesn't have enough experience, vote for Obama for President because he has even less experience. Beautiful, Matt, Beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anxkrm9uEJk

Hot peppers... how very Chicago of him. (Do they have Italian beef with giardiniera and such in Arizona?) I don't begrudge anyone a little spice, but I think hot peppers change the nature of the sandwich quite a bit. Someday a candidate will run for president who truly understands us!

the economy, the war, the other war, the budget deficit, the housing collapse, the socialization of Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the soon to be socialization of Lehman Brothers, the VP candidate hidden under a rock because she can't speak for herself. Why don't you people ever really talk about the issues, instead of crying like babies about stuff that is a distraction?

Because it's the liberal kooks attacking Palin that is losing Obama the election! Why wouldn't I want to talk about that!? Duh!

And, for the record, if the Democrat party can't win the presidency this year, with all the advantages you listed PLUS the full and active support of the liberal media fawning over their candidate, you can't ever win the presidency.

I've been trying to ignore Palin all day -- this election is between Barack Obama and John McCain, although I did see tonight that McCain is already planning to go back to joint appearances, ASAP. Wonder why? :-)

The constant pushing of Palin by the Corporate Controlled Media is a distraction. I ask you again, Mr. Zip Code, what about the economy. The war. The other war. The budget deficit. The socialization of the mortgage industry which, by the way, aligns us with Hugo Chavez. How about speaking about issues?

Wow Boca. Nice summary of republican values, especially the "socialize the bank losses, but keep the profits," but you left out the Iraq War for Oil and the forgotten war in Afghanistan. "chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff [Adm Mullen] said today the U.S. is "running out of time" to get the war in Afghanistan right"

Zippy, I did not list advantages to the Dems, I listed issues we should be talking about. I'd love to read, point by point, what you think should be done on those issues. Pal, thanks, and you're right I left those out. However, I think you'll agree we can barely throw 3 or 4 things at these right wing crazies. Too much at once makes them cover their ears and scream yahyahyah......

Swifty, explain to me how Sarah Palin is more qualified to be VP than Olympia Snow, or Elizabeth Dole, or Kay Bailey Hutchison?
