From an article advancing today's John McCain-Sarah Palin rally in Delaware County:

McNichol said the phones were very busy and he even received a call from Longport, N.J., for tickets. Ticket-seekers were advised to wear red.

Is that such a good idea in the middle of a Communist-style nationalization of America's financial institutions and insurance industry? Are they going to read passages from "Henry Paulson's Little Red Book" as well?

This post is a joke, right? After the GOPs correctly berate you, you're going to publish the real post... right? Ok, I know that's not happening. But why do you insist on giving your critics such easy targets?

You're just jealous of Bernanke's beard. Actually, there is a bit of irony here - that the Democrats refusal to pass a regulatory bill (S.190) is what helped get us here in the first place, and now we are having to socialize Wall Street to clean up the mess.

Rest assured, Will - the red just simply represents Red States on the electoral map. The GOP is not trying to steal Obama's mantle of being the Marxist candidate.

"that the Democrats refusal to pass a regulatory bill (S.190) is what helped get us here in the first place" The way I look at it, the Dems created the sh** - the subprime housing problems - and the GOP helped create the fan - namely, they allowed derivatives to grow unchecked into spinning blades that spread the subprime sh** throughout the financial sector.

Umm... what? I'll go ahead and second Politburo on this. Are you trying to be a straw man, now?

"hat the Democrats refusal to pass a regulatory bill (S.190) is what helped get us here in the first place" --- S.190 (109) was not blocked by Democrats. The GOP leadership allowed the bill to die.

Funny that they are switching to red. McCain had generally been using a green background during the spring and summer. I guess he's not in control of his own campaign anymore.

How about this "little tid-bit that was in Paulsons Bailout: "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency." Wow. How are they getting away with this?

Maybe at an Obama rally everyone can wear yellow.

Wolfgang: They're not. That was just the proposal. Both sides in Congress have indicated that the proposal will not be the final package.
