Man meets dog, man loses dog, man gets dog

Rick Santorum is starting a new life as a Christian movie producer

He failed as Pennsylvania's senator, as an Inquirer columnist and as a presidential candidate. But Rick Santorum has a bright future in Hollywood:

Rick Santorum has a new job as CEO of a Dallas-based Christian movie company, EchoLight Studios.

"This is the right place and right time, and I've jumped in with both feet," the former Pennsylvania senator and 2012 presidential candidate said in a statement. "I often say that culture is upstream from politics, and I know entertainment  also can be strength and light for people who want to be uplifted and reinforced in their values."

The studio's first feature film, "The Redemption of Henry Myers," is slated to be released this fall. It's a Western about a bank robber choosing between revenge and Redemption.

So, I'm guess that the winner there is....revenge? Just kidding. Well, since Glenn Beck moved there a couple of years ago, I figure Dallas is becoming the right-wing media-and-entertainment capital of the world, and economically that's not a bad place to be. I mean, Jesus got Nik Wallenda across the Grand Canyon and Superman -- the creation of a couple of Jewish guys from Cleveland -- is now the Second Coming. So here's to Rick Santorum, soon to be the Ed Wood of the G-rated movie biz.
