Linda Katehi's walk of shame

This is an amazingly powerful video, featuring the worst person in the world. I'll have more to say later about what happened at UC-Davis, but I can't decide if I'm more outraged by America's grim slide into police statedom or the moral vapidity of our nation's institutions, including or perhaps especially our universities, from Happy Valley to the Sacramento Valley. When I decide, I'll let you know.

The police state and moral ambiguity are a direct result of liberal, baby boom, democrat policy. Open the door to lack of respect for life (abortion), relativity (it works for you, dont force it on me), and a socialist welfare state (everything from the war on poverty to Obamacare) and don't be surprised by what you get in return!

In the conservative welfare state we get a "war on terror" (fought largely in Iraq--no 9/11 guys there) drugs for seniors, school vouchers = welfare for churches, an office of faith based initiatives and lower taxes on capital gains than on a person's labor. The result is an economy where 1% controls 40% of the wealth. Does anybody really believe that is the result of a "free" market?

And do you have any thing of substance to contribute?Sloganeering isn't argument.Iraq was about WMD and the intelligence that led us there. The same intelligence read and believed by not only Bush, both Clintons and a myriad of other high level politicians. You lefties always convenietly leave that fact out. And George Tenent was appointed by Bubba. Yes the intelligence was faulty. Can't change that.As for vouchers-I guess you support leaving kids in failing schools. You also need to take an ecomomics course. Obviously you went to public school.Taught by liberals.Probably knows all about the religion of global warming.

you decry the failure to do the moral obligation but you support a woman's right to kill her unborn baby. I guess morality only plays when you see fit.

"Mirror's" comment is dead-on. And "mick of the moment" gives the usual liberal response that doesn't even address the original comment.

All I can say is if people hold a protest and no one gets tased or pepper sprayed is it really a protest?

I'm very very confused. So suddenly this person is worse than Jerry Sandusky??? And for what reason? I tried to read the article linked, and I watched the video. Here's what I saw in the video: Protesters peacefully and calmly sitting on a sidewalk. Then they were maced or pepper sprayed (there is a huge difference). Then some were attempted to be moved by police, while almost ALL of them resisted arrest. What is unclear is if the police ordered a legal directive to stop blocking whatever they were sitting in front of. I really don't understand where people think they can ignore legal directives, or ignore the orders of a police officer. When you do, you are BREAKING THE LAW. When you RESIST ARREST by either chaining yourself to another person, or by not immediately complying with the police officer's orders, YOU are creating a situation where it becomes necessary for the police to use non-lethal force to arrest you. Had you stood up, put your hands behind you, you would (likely) receive no force to affect your arrest. Had you complied with the initial police order, there likely would have been no arrest at all.

The worst presidential slogan I've ever heard was 'Hope and Change'. Even Gerald Ford's 'WIN' (whip inflation now) made some sense.

Is it me, or does it seem like Will is like a teenager who found his first love?? It seems like he's been waiting all his life to be relevant, to be part of something?
