Joe Paterno, 1926-2012

POSTED: Sunday, January 22, 2012, 4:13 PM

"The winds of fate can turn you around, run you aground, sink you, and sometimes you can't do a thing about it. You can commit yourself to accomplishing a goal, doing something good, winning a game. Just to make that commitment to something you believe in is winning - even if you lose the game."

Hey Will, how does it feel to be part of a group that killed a man in a short few months with just your words?

Sometimes, when an older person has their identity taken away, they give up. Once Paterno didn't have football anymore, didn't have Penn State anymore, there was nothing left for him to live for. He stopped fighting.

So I guess that his wife and children and grandchildren weren't enough to live for? Joe Paterno was killed by the media. They buried this old man under a barrage of indictments and innuendos.

Joe Paterno died of a broken heart. He lived a very full and successful life - by any standard. I have mixed feelings about the way he handled the Sandusky situation but this is not the day for that.

If we could indict the media for murder this would be the case.

Typical liberal. Nothing on Bill C- but close Penn State down. With Bunch's logic they should closed down the far left PHIILY PAPERS AND The Socialist Philly.com.

Why didn't the DN apply the same pressure on Bill Colin as they did on Jopa? It's because the DN knew that their own scumbag was not only a child molester but he was a major source of revenue for their paper.

The Daily News is not a newspaper. This has nothing to do with JoePa. Racist creeps can write whatever they want but my comments are blocked. The DN is NOT a newspaper!
