Yeah, but is it a parody of 'Going Rogue' or 'Tear Down This Myth'?

Just curious, sloboat - how many liftimes of bunches equals the advance you got for your book? LOL! How pathetic is that? Gaining a personal sense of satisfaction because Sarah Palin gets a large book advance?

Y-A-W-N...Nothing but a rehash of old Palin-opposing material, which include such straight-arrow observers as Amanda Marcotte, Max Blumenthal, Eve Ensler, and Jane Hamsher. Hamsher made her biggest political splash when she put Joe Lieberman in blackface during his re-election campaign. Marcotte got fired from the Edwards campaign for her vilification of religious believers in language bad enough to actually embarrass Edwards — and given Edwards’ history, that’s saying something indeed. The whole thing looks like a bad Mad Magazine takeoff of a book, which is the impression that The Nation leaves with its Going Rouge cheapie. And the bottom line is this: after 150 years of publication, The Nation has to piggyback off of a Republican VP candidate to achieve relevance. Have The Nation’s editors become so insecure about their product that they feel they can only sell it through deception? In that, it has a lot in common with their progressive agenda.

She got a big advance because publishers know books by prominent wingnuts sell very well thanks to folks like Scaife who buy them buy the truckload in order to make certain their failed agenda appears to have the backing of the masses. Will be interesting to see how this one does, though, I heard on TV that it starts out okay, it get's really exciting and then confusing, and then the last 100 pages are blank. It's priced at $24.95, but it has a $5,000 jacket

David Letterman's Top Ten Sarah Palin Tips For Writing A Book 10. Close curtains so you don't get distracted by Russia. 9. Increase vocabulary -- use words like "slanket." 8. First buy yourself 100-grand worth of writing outfits. 7. Don't write a word until the check clears. 6. Limit yourself to one "you betcha" per chapter. 5. You can never have enough stories about ice fishing or killing things with your bare hands. 4. When in doubt, just type (wink). 3. Don't let writing cut into attending "Fire Letterman" rallies. 2. Have a book translated for sale to European countries like London. 1. I'll try to find ya some tips and I'll bring 'em to ya!

Nice. Palin and RG's "grassroots conservative" buddies are supporting a 3rd party candidate in a NY congressional race - against the Republican candidate. Why? Because the Republican candidate is pro-choice, pro-gay marriage. Ya' gotta love Sarah and The Family Research Council -- who is particularly incensed at the RNC's sell-out in this race, saying that what the GOP needs is "good women like Marsha Blackburn and Michele Bachmann in Congress." Seriously, this is beautiful. The "conservatives" will not stop until there is no one left in the Republican Party outside of religious fanatics. A thing of beauty. Oh. Right. I forgot. Religious fanatics and RG. Pass the popcorn.

Swifty, I'm gonna help you here, go to amazon.com, look for books, and find "Going Rogue". List price: $28.99 (of course, it hasn't actually been released yet). Purchase price: $9.00. Yes sir, a simply amazing 69% discount! On a book not yet released!! Let's compare this to another book available at Amazon.com. Title is "Tear Down This Myth". List: $25.00. Buy new: $16.50. In other words, a discount of 34%. I look forward to an intelligent response...but I won't be holding my breath.

Liberal books don't sell very well, so making their cover similar to a book that will sell a million copies is a smart strategy. For their next book they can have Obama on the cover dressed as a wizard with horn-rimmed glasses and a wand. Call it Barry Potter.

"I heard on TV that it starts out okay, it get's really exciting and then confusing, and then the last 100 pages are blank..." Do you often steal quotes from Jimmy Fallon without attribution?

Love it! Hope "Going Rouge" gets on the best seller list. Palin is a wonderful addition to the political scene. I really, really hope...no pray that the Republicans put her at the top of the ticket. Maybe with Joe the Plumber for VP. What a dream ticket! hahaha...this is the best the Repubs have to offer... Oh and ACORN!!
