High-ranking Pa. official actually curious why tap water is on fire

It only took a couple of days, but a major Pennsylvania official actually expressed curiosity over the possibility that we may all be drinking radioactive water these days:

Sen. Bob Casey is calling the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Environmental Protection to action after a New York Times article reported that hydraulic fracturing can lead to radioactive materials in Pennsylvania's waterways.

"Alarming information has been raised that must be fully investigated," Casey said in a statement today. "I am calling on the DEP and the EPA to increase inspections of Pennsylvania drinking water resources for radioactive material and to account for why sufficient inspections haven't taken place."

Remember when Casey running for the Senate was a short-term thing and the job he really wanted was governor. What ever happened to that? We could use somebody with a clear head in Harrisburg.
