Just in time for the July 4 weekend, Brett Myers gets his AAA card.
Couldn't happen to a more well-deserving guy.
UPDATE: The Phils are running wild tonight, up 5-0 in just the third inning. I'm sure that's making Brett feel much better.
He'll be a barrel of laughs, especially about hazing new players.
Statistically, Myers has been an unexceptional pitcher throughout his career... His one good season- 2005, Brett was still only able to get 13 wins in 34 starts, with an ERA of 3.72. Last season, Brett's ERA was 9.32 as a Starter before he was put in the bullpen. This is Brett's 7th season and he's yet to prove he's a dependable #3 starter, much less someone deserving of starting Opening Day 2 straight years with the hype of potential Ace... Pathetic
You have to love a guy that's failing, yet refuses to change his approach or actively listen to suggestions from people with real experience. (Hey wait, sounds like he could be our President!) I also have no respect for a professional who won't get in shape to do a job 99% would sell our souls to have. I'm hoping going to the minors is the wakeup call he needs to get the message.

What an idiot! Don't you wish you had his talent? I'll bet he struggles as a starter in AAA and they'll be forced to make him a RP or trade him.
